Nature creates amazing things and just sometimes here at JK Bespoke I get to find one of her efforts. These photos show that process, a raw grey slab, through the thicknesser to flatten and straighten it and it starts to show it's true beauty, there is more to come for sure. This piece of nature's work was over 20000 years in the making, it's ancient Waikato Swamp Kauri.
The piece is 1660mm long and averages 270ish wide, when it's done it will be available either on a base of mine or if your quick we can work on a vision of yours

Over Easter I announced a new site to sell some smaller items, we ran a FB ad but sadly, to soon, even Google couldn't find the new domain name lol so I have a favour to ask. Happy Easter everyone.
The new project is now underway, as some will know along with the furniture and lighting I also make a range of smaller items, boards, platters wooden dishes and the like.

A new project is underway one part of that is new sample pots of our excellent JK Bespoke's Manuka Hive Bees Wax, I think this is 63 pots keep an eye on here for more over the next week or so

Having collected the timber what's next?
Well a couple of days on the thicknesser seeing what the raw timber looks like and making lots of shavings for a start. The piece shown is ancient Waikato Swamp Kauri and the small pieces are what it looks like finished.
