**Two Bathrooms & Two Toilets Given a New Lease on Life!**

This project came to Keen Builders through one of our trusted Tilemax brand representatives. After around 20 years of use, these two bathrooms and two water closets were ready for a complete overhaul.

The biggest job wasn't just making them look great. We uncovered and addressed serious underlying flooring issues, making sure the problems were properly sorted before completing the renovations.

Garage conversion complete

This week we transformed a tired, badly damaged garage into a fresh, secure and functional living space.

We replaced the old garage door with a new electric door, upgraded the exterior cladding and installed two new fibreglass doors — helping convert the downstairs area into a separate, lockable flat.

Another great transformation by the Keen Builders team, making better use of existing space and giving this home a whole new look.

Bathroom month! 🔨

We’re on bathroom #4 back-to-back, and this one is a double bathroom renovation for a lovely villa in Thorndon.

We love referral clients, and these guys came to us after discovering a leak that had clearly been causing trouble for a while. Tiles popping up, a shower that had seen better days and plenty of hidden damage underneath.

No problem — we’ll strip it back, fix what’s gone wrong and rebuild it better than when it was first built.

Sunny day on the roof — the perfect time to fix a leak!

This house has been taking on water like there’s no tomorrow during the recent storms, so today we were up on the roof getting to the bottom of it.

We found a leaking skylight, damaged roof tiles, rotten fascia boards and damaged soffit that all needed attention.

Funny thing is, on a day like today you’d never know the roof was leaking at all! That’s why finding the source of a leak can be tricky — sometimes you need to get up there and investigate properly.

We love it when the sun’s out… especially when we’re on the roof!

Bathroom renovation complete

Our customer came to us with a clear list of looks they wanted to achieve and a goal for the finished bathroom.

The original plan was to go with a vinyl shower, but with some great new BRANZ-approved systems, we were able to offer them a fully tiled shower system backed by a 10-year warranty.

A big shout-out to the team at Tilemax for the support and product knowledge that helped us bring our customer’s vision to life with their fantastic range and premium-quality products.

This one is starting to come together nicely. Large-format natural stone-look tiles paired with a soft green vertical feature tile are creating a clean, modern finish.

Still a few stages to go, but you can already see the transformation taking shape.

This bathroom has served the family well, but after two decades of daily use, it’s definitely ready for a change.

To wrap up this project, the new double-glazed windows have finally arrived and installation is underway.

Today was the biggest milestone of the job—framing out the new opening, completing the exterior cladding, and installing this impressive 3.5m stacking slider. It’s amazing how much natural light and indoor-outdoor flow a window of this size creates.

We’re looking forward to getting the rest of the windows installed and putting the finishing touches on another great renovation.
