Well… where do I start? This honestly feels a little overwhelming 😅
So many people have told me, “You need to show your face more , people want to know who you are!” and encouraged me to speak in front of the camera. But if you know me in real life, you’ll know it takes me a few minutes to warm up before the real me comes out 😂 That first awkward “Hiii…” always feels a bit unnatural to me.
But here I am… putting my big girl pants on and finally saying hello 💚
My name is Kalyani, and I’m originally from a tiny (but beautiful) village called in the northern part of moved to Aotearoa/New Zealand in my teens because of the war, and it quickly became my second home. Later, life took me to the UK, where I married the most wonderful man — the biggest supporter behind my small business and the person who constantly pushes me to believe in my big dreams.
We have two cheeky and beautiful children, Shiva and Shakthi, who keep life busy, loud, and full of love 🥰 and my kids think im famous when they see my work any where or workshops around them . Lol
Our Waffle; cheeky, crazy, loud, and full of puppy eyes! 😂 He keeps us on our toes and fills our hearts with so much love. He truly completes our crazy little family! Before motherhood and plant life took over, I trained and worked as an IT professional. , surrounded by wires, networks, and screens all day, I needed something calming and alive around me. That’s when I started experimenting with plants in water and pebbles — succulents (sadly they didn’t survive 😂) and jewel orchids (which somehow still alive thanks to my mum!).
What started as a hobby slowly grew into something beautiful:
I’ve always loved nature! honestly, if I could bring the entire outdoors inside, I probably would! That love inspired me to create tiny tropical worlds indoors. Since not everyone has outdoor space (or the budget for a huge garden), I began creating little plant arrangements in jars, kokedamas, driftwood plant displays, and upcycled planters....REST will be on
