Where colour meets calm
💙

Sky Blue in the kitchen. Cloud Grey in the laundry. Soft timber, pale neutrals and our Toko range tying it all together.

A reminder that adding colour doesn’t have to mean going bold. The beauty is in the balance.

✨ From drab to fab — without ever stepping foot in our showroom! ✨

This stunning bathroom transformation was completed entirely remotely, with our clients in Nelson bringing their vision to life from afar.

From choosing the right tiles and finishes to those all-important details like grout and silicone, we worked closely with the clients to create a space that feels warm and luxurious.

Their favourite part of the experience?

“She understood the aesthetic that I had in mind and tailored the finer details… so they worked with the room and not just the tile we had chosen…. Being able to purchase all the gear and finishings at one shop was very helpful.”

So, if you’re renovating from out of town, don’t let the distance put you off. We are just a video call away!

We’ve noticed more and more of our customers embracing patterned tiles in their spaces — and we’re here for it!

Whether it’s a small feature or a statement floor, pattern is a beautiful way to bring personality and visual interest into a space. Paired with soft, neutral tones like these, it can still feel calm and timeless while adding that little something extra.

Featured here is our new Riviera Motif patterned tile, Lola Blue subway along with one of our most versatile neutrals… Gisborne Sand 600x1200mm.

Could patterned tiles be making their way into your next project? Pop in and see what inspires you!

It’s International Dog Day so this is just a wee appreciation post for our four legged team members, Gin and Fable 🐾 Their productivity is questionable but their contribution to office morale is 10/10.
We’d love to see some photos of your office pups, drop us a photo in the comments 👇🏻

The Taranto Bone Line in its 596x1500mm profile is a beautiful way to add texture and dimension while keeping a soft, neutral palette.

Taranto Bone’s warm, neutral tones make it incredibly versatile, pairing beautifully with both neutrals and colour. Here we’ve teamed it with a soft green subway tile from our Capri range and Gisborne Dune 600x600; but the options are endless!

Alternatively, keep things simple and within the Taranto family. The smooth Taranto Bone pairs effortlessly with the textured Taranto Bone Line, creating a tonal look with subtle variation.

Love the look? Come and explore the Taranto range in store — we’d love to help you find the perfect pairing. 🤎

We love a site update ✨

Here at Dakota Tiles, we never tire of seeing our tiles go from showroom samples to a finished space — and we love getting updates along the way!

These beautiful spaces are really starting to come together. We can’t wait to see the finished result. Thanks to Total Tile Installation for sending these through to us - we appreciate it!
