September 2026: 💗 Waratah 💗

I find the Waratah to be strikingly unique with their sturdy flower structure and bright colour. They make stunning focal flowers for larger arrangements and designs.
I tend to shy away from using such structural flowers in my designs because I don't think I'm very bold and stick to my preferred cottage garden style, however I will forever want to learn more and as the Waratah symbolism suggests 'be brave', have courage, passion and complete love for what I do.

Slightly belated Flower of the Month
August 2026: ☀️ Dandelion ☀️

Representing the sun, the moon and the stars, Dandelions are a brilliant herb with many health benefits. They grow at all times during the year and I'd say August isn't when they are most prolific but I've been thinking about them a lot lately as they are very close to my heart and I wanted to share that.
When I was little I used to pick dandelions in Grandads garden to give to him and he would always reply with "I don't want them, they're wet the bed flowers" which has always been a silly little sentiment to remember and I think my love and passion for flowers and gardens was really kick-started by him.
Now as a mother, watching my daughter recognize Dandelions in the garden as well as understanding that you can blow the seeds into the air, combined with my memories of Grandad, it's really making my heart sing.
Dandelion symbolism includes resilience, hope, healing and transformation

Flower of the Month
July 2026: ❄️Summer Snowflakes❄️

Summer Snowflakes are such a gem during the Winter, they offer an abundance of bright white bells when there are slim pickings in the garden, they have long stems which is always a plus in the floristing world, however I think they are better arranged in smaller posies since they tend to fold under the grasp of a florist as well as being lost when paired with other sturdier flowers or foliage, they offer delicate features and need to be treated delicately as well.
Summer Snowflakes symbolize clear heartedness, youth, hope and innocence

The Scotch Thistle 🌵💜
A symbol of courage, inner strength, willpower, protection and positive action.
(National flower of Scotland)

I am thoroughly enjoying the hibernation months with my embroidery endeavors, I am slowly building a portfolio of my stitch work which I will share in the future 🪡

This specific project was a surprise design on a shirt for my uncle, our family has a good amount of Scottish heritage which I am currently learning about 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Flower of the Month
June 2026: 🌵Succulents🌵

Succulents bring unique texture to floral designs and are brilliant for when a recipient prefers plants or greenery over flowers, I especially love using them as focal points in a bouquet during the Winter months when flowers are scarce plus they can be planted out after enjoying them in an arrangement which provides an everlasting gift.
Succulents commonly symbolize endurance and new beginnings, it varies depending on the variety, The specific variety we have an abundance of (Echeveria) is a symbol of endurance, strength and adaptability.
