To our wonderful community.

I'm sharing some bittersweet news today.

After a lot of reflection, I've decided to bring some joy back into growing and scale back my operations to a hobby farm.

As part of this shift I no longer plan to post tubers so I'll be shutting down our website in the coming weeks.

I want to say thankyou for all your support, purchases and kind words over the years.

I'll still be sharing my beautiful creations to my page ❤️ but at a much slower pace.

Are you local and looking to grow cut flowers? I have the deal for you.

I have bulk numbers of the cornel family. These have been grown on the farm for multiple seasons.

They're one of my most picked varieties ❤️ absolute work horses 🐎. Great vase life and cut flower with a flawless form.

Can sell as freshly dug whole plants/ multiple tubers per clump. Make me an offer.

I forget that not everyone knows these things, and aren't complete soil nerds like myself 😂.

My moto is the healthier your soil the healthier your plants, after all the soil is the plants stomach.

I've spent countless hours reading and trialing different methods, and this is what creates beautiful healthy dahlia's for me.

They're incredibly hungry plants.

I'm incredibly greatful for the seaweed pulp that gets dropped to me ❤️ I used to collect it from the beach all Winter.

Yearly adding to your soil in this layered methods turns "dirt" into "soil" waking up and increasing the microbiology and worm population, over time this method turns packed or clay soil into something that is free draining. Which if you're obsessed with dahlia's like me this is very important.

I'll now let the seaweed rott in for a handful of weeks, the worm will work it in for me.

When planting the tubers or cuttings I dig some Sheep pallets and blood and bone into the whole.

This dahlia will be sticking around and getting a name if it behaves next season.

The stems are abit tired now, but once again this new variety has proven to have the growth habbits of the cornel family 🙌 I'm really drawn to the colouring✨️the gold almost glows in the garden.

I absolutely 🤎 all the name suggestions you come up with, can you think of something fitting for this dahlia down the track.

This beauty is the perfect blend of her parents Isabel & cornel bronze. 💜🧡

I'm struggling to think of a name for her, this dahlia is a beautiful garden workhorse with the growth habbits and bloom quality of the cornel family.
