The Spoils of Power, By Anthony Pene.

An amazing pictorial stained glass portrait, showing a three faced Tiki with jars full of treasures and the world beneath him.

Such striking and vivid colors throughout and Paua eyes, on one side of the tiki you’ll notice the face with horns and the other side a face with a halo above it suggesting the devil on one side and an angel on the other. Set in a beautiful NZ native timber frame.

This art work is Named “The Spoils of Power” made in 1992. Anthony Pene is well regarded, incredible Kiwi artist and his public works can be found in the Wellington high court.

This work is part of a broader tradition of contemporary Māori artists integrating traditional forms into modern media such as glass etc.

A fantastic addition to any art collection.

Standing on beautiful turned legs with the original hand carved marquee/back board. Original hardware, fantastic wear to the work top and a convenient drawer below.

Incredi-bowl... sorry that was terribowl 💀 okay im done...

Something you don’t see everyday! A extra large wooden bowl which came out of an old New Zealand foundary.

Laminated sections of timber painstakingly stacked in a staggered pattern and then turned on a giant wood lathe to give it the convex and concave shape.

Now the purpose or use of this giant bowl is still a mystery to us but im sure one of you may know the answer so please enlighten us with your thoughts in the comments!

The bowl has wrought iron straps attached which suggests that it may have been hoisted into position some way or another in its former life.

A beautiful sculptural item that could find a home in many different places. It could be turned into a fabulous table with a glass top hosting items of interest on display inside, it could be a trade sign for a restaurant, a center piece in a hotel or lobby, a planter for a beautiful indoor garden. Let you imagination run wild, it will likely be the last time you see one!

A fantastic pair of 1950s drafting tables made by Nike Sweden.

One of our most requested items so get in quick!

Both tables are hight adjustable by a hydraulic foot pedal, they can adjust to any angle and lay flat so they could also be used as a dining table or bar leaner.

Perfect in the art studio, as a work desk or anywhere else you need a solid beautiful table/desk.

The green table has a beautiful pine timber top and the grey one has a gorgeous reclaimed Totara work top.

A superb bank of 55 work shop drawers.

Beautiful rimu timber and peachy orange drawers fronts, original hardware and drawer numbers. Very well made with dove tail joins and staggered drawer sizes. No borer damage at all.

Some drawers have dividers in them in varying sizes but can easily be removed.

Perfect for in the studio, work shop or living areas. A good place to stash your treasures and spare battery’s.

An icon, to say the least!

A Brilliant survivor! Circa 1920s hand painted Massey Harris Farm implements sign, originally from the Taumarunui trading post in the central North island, King Country!

Great condition for age, showing all the right patina! The sign is fully original including the frame and trims etc. No borer in the timber which looks to be Rimu.

A fantastic piece in a rural or agricultural setting, pubs and bars, man caves or toy Sheds!

An absolutely jaw dropping salvaged stained glass dome atrium!

Last year we had the privilege of saving this incredible dome from an esteemed villa in Wellington before the home was demolished.

Consisting of 8 fantastic stained glass sections and the central octagonal section. The structure is made from wrought iron “T” sections which bolt together with all of the original hardware.

Now you may be wondering “what am I going to do with a giant stained glass dome” and to be fair so were we!

Obviously the dome could be retrofitted into a similar setting, as an atrium sitting on a octagonal bulk head or it could be customized to be hung from a high ceiling as the most amazing feature lighting you’ve ever seen. There are a few other options which we will go into in our next post.

The dome is 3.5m in diameter and roughly about 1m high. The condition considering its 120 years old is good, a few lose pieces and small cracks but nothing to be put off by.
