Hello Thimbles family
Once customers start asking questions, we know the rumour mill is in overdrive, so thought the best idea is to let you know what is happening at Thimbles.

Did you know that we will be celebrating 10 years on Main Street this November and it will be 34 years for Thimbles in December.
Mum was always so proud of Thimbles and what she achieved and was excited for me to carry on her legacy.
I love being at Thimbles!
Hearing laughter and friendship from the classroom, helping people selecting supplies for their projects and seeing the finished product, and just talking to people.

We have many super loyal customers, some we see every week, every other week or once a month. You guys are amazing and from the bottom of my heart, Thank you! You will never know how much your support means to me.

Retail has been tough, not just for us but for everyone. Times are tough.
We are currently in the middle of our ā€˜Spring Saleā€™ you wouldnā€™t think so, we are so quiet.
To go 3-4 hours without a customer use to be rare, now it is the norm. Sadly, this does not help pay the Rent and all the other overheads.

By now you must be thinking where is she heading?

Approximately 6 weeks ago our landlord appeared telling us he would like our space back! Yes, you could have knocked me over with a feather, I did not see that coming.
He owns the empty section beside us and has big plans that include our space! I can see his vision is a great idea, but it does not help us.

What next for Thimbles? Do we move? Done that before and itā€™s a big job.
Will moving help grow the business or is a ā€˜bricks and mortarā€™ shop no longer required? Lincraft & Peteā€™s Emporium are making changes, moving with the times.

I am currently reviewing my options, so NO DECISION has been made. My preferred option is to move, find us a new home ā€“ moving costs money and will be a BIG JOB!

I just love what I do, Bridgit does too, itā€™s in our blood!

We are here until the New Year, as soon as we have confirmed the next step you will be the first to know. Unless you hear it from us it is just a rumour.

For now, it is business as usual. We have fabric pre-ordered well into 2027, Tutors are working on ideas for classes next year and we have Xmas stock due in October.

We need your help and support more than ever.

Every dollar helps, it might just be some thread, a few buttons or a gift from our beautiful gift range and of course we have plenty of fabric and wool too along with lots of other goodies so pop in.
