Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there!!
Today's market ist The Seaside Market in New Plymouth.
It's a great Market with its own cool vibe of crafts and food on a great beach.
Always has awesome visitors and it's set out for a relaxed walk and plenty for the kids to do with the park and the beach to wear them out.
If you haven't got dad anything yet this is your chance to grab a carving to help him look awesome for another year.
What ever you do have a choice day!!

That was a fun experiment.
Now I'm not aiming for perfection here. Fat bunny was a demo piece for a beginner doing a lesson, wanting to make her own bunny. There was no planning and it was just made as we went about the lesson.
Finished later as I was enjoying it. An intuitive carving you might say. A lesson for me too and something to keep to show visitors to the workshop.
One day I might plan out something more serious but for now its all a bit of fun and learning.
I did finish off the eyes with goat horn to make it pop a bit.
Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Who else is making any crazy gravers??
Mike Brown visited this week and had some great gravers. He was making a very cool carving with them.
Check out his page
I've made this one to see what it can do. Bit of a push pull cutter. Made from a flat file with an Antler tip handle.
No I'll get back to getting ready for the Whanganui River Markets tomorrow.
