Before 2025 ended, I told myself I will take a pause and not accept any orders and events for this year because I want to focus on attending advanced flower arrangement classes.
But people still reached out to me for their flower needs. Hindi naman sobrang maraming inquiries, but that small number was more than enough to keep me going.
When I was making this particular arrangement the other night, which was ordered by my good friend’s husband, I realized that we, as florists and floral designers, are vessels for someone to express their love and for someone to feel loved.
After the tiring war (haha war talaga eh noh😭) at the flower market, huhu first time ko mag-physically buy flowers since I usually just have them delivered when I order online, the pagod from juggling my day job and passion project slowly turned into an even greater love for what I do, and a deeper appreciation for all the florists and floral designers out there.
This year is the first Valentine’s Day rush I experienced as a florist. It may not seem that big for us this time, but the rush was never about me. It was never about me being able to do what I once prayed for. More than anything, it made me realize how loved I am. Because despite the rush, I saw how supportive my mom, my friends, and my community are.
God, again and again, it’s all You.
My work may be a vessel for people to express love and feel loved, but through it all, You made me feel sooooo loved too.
Happy Heart’s Day, everyone! 💕🫶✨💐
You are loved!!!
