8 years of knotting. I used to knot accessories and wallhangings for people and their homes. Now, I get to hire people to knot for Airbnbs, hotels and resorts. Really glad I kept going. 🫶🫶🫶🥹

Sometimes art remembers the moments we don’t want to forget.

I created this piece in 2019 using braided rope and painted using acrylic paint, inspired by the colors of a sunset by the sea. This was just an experiment coz back then there were limited materials for colored ropes. Good quality of ropes were also hard to find. Fortunately, this project didn’t go to waste. I didn’t have to waste ropes and jars of paint for this coz what I pictured in my head worked. 😄

It first hung in my tiny studio under our staircase. See photo with my fur mascot Chin-Chin Barcy. Later, it found a home at Bib’s Garden Cafe. Today, it hangs here at Vista DelyMar.

Through the years, it has followed us through different chapters of life.

What makes it special is that its inspiration has never changed.

My husband and I have loved sunset watching by the sea since our courtship days, and to this day, we’re still chasing the same horizon together.

Maybe that’s why this will always be one of my favorite pieces. 🌅🤍

A full-circle moment, woven into rope and painted with memories.
I’m even wearing here the first batch of survibebislig shirt by my husband Jun D. Marcojos ✨🥲🤙

Day 10 ✨

One of my favorite shoots from 2020 during our second year anniversary for Knotting Elle in October.

What makes it even more special is that KEN and GVIL wentupthehill have been documenting my journey since 2018—before Knotting Elle even had a page.

Many of the photos used in my interviews, features, and digital magazine articles over the years were taken by them, and I couldn’t be more grateful.🥹

For this shoot, we transformed their studio into a mini Knotting Elle showroom filled with my macramé pieces. At the time, I was creating for homes, Airbnbs, resorts, cafés, and even shops abroad.

Looking back, I’m grateful not only for how far my craft has come, but also for the people who have been there to witness it from day one. 🤍

Day 8 of posting consistently for Knotting Elle ✨

The piece that started it all.

Back in 2018, my sister brought home a dreamcatcher from Bali. Inspired by it, I created my very first macramé piece. Looking back, it was far from perfect, but it sparked something in me that would eventually become Knotting Elle.

Earlier this year, I decided to recreate that same piece.

This time, every knot was more intentional. Every detail was carefully thought out. Looking at the original and the recreated version side by side, I can see not just the difference in the piece, but the years of learning, practice, mistakes, and growth behind it.

What makes it even more special is that I was able to bring the recreated piece with me to Bali last March—the very place that inspired it eight years ago.

And on our way home, I gifted it to my cousin during our Singapore layover.

It’s amazing how one small project can turn into a journey you never expected.

Here’s to the piece that started it all. 🤍
