✨ HONCHO TURNS ONE! ✨
First batch of uploads, straight from our iPhones, because we just couldn’t wait to share a little glimpse of this beautiful celebration! 📱✨
But you better expect a newest batch soon, because I actually bought a camera just for this event! 📸😂
When the celebration is this special, we knew our iPhones simply wouldn’t be enough to capture every detail.
For Honcho’s first birthday, his Mom had the sweetest and most exciting idea, to bring four different Disney stories to life throughout the venue. And instead of simply choosing characters, we wanted each theme to have a meaning… a little story that would represent Honcho as he begins his journey through life.
🌿 TARZAN — The Entrance
We started Honcho’s adventure with Tarzan.
Tarzan represents childhood, curiosity, courage, and the beauty of growing up surrounded by love and family. The entrance was designed to feel like stepping into a little boy’s first adventure—entering a world full of wonder, discovery, and endless possibilities. Just like Tarzan discovering the world around him, Honcho is only beginning to explore his own.
🦁 THE LION KING — Photo Wall
For the next chapter, we brought in Simba and his family.
The Lion King is more than just a story about a little lion becoming king. It’s about family, guidance, courage, growth, and knowing where you come from. Simba’s journey reminds us that no matter how big the world becomes, the love and lessons of family will always be a part of who we are.
And for a one-year-old surrounded by so much love, we felt this was the perfect representation of Honcho’s beautiful family bond. 🦁🤎
💪 HERCULES — The Ceiling
Above everyone’s heads, we created a Hercules-inspired ceiling installation.
Hercules represents strength, potential, and discovering who you are meant to become. And what better way to represent a little boy who has his entire life ahead of him?
At just one year old, Honcho may be small, but the possibilities ahead of him are limitless. The ceiling became a reminder that, someday, this little boy will grow into his own strength, find his purpose, and create a story that is uniquely his. ✨
🧸 TOY STORY — The Stage
And then, the most personal detail of them all…
Toy Story. 🚀⭐
Honcho’s real name is Andy, so having Toy Story as the centerpiece of the celebration felt like the perfect little Easter egg, and honestly, one of our favorites to create.
Andy represents childhood, imagination, innocence, and the magical years of growing up. The Toy Story stage was our way of celebrating the little boy behind the name and the beautiful childhood that is just beginning.
Four Disney stories.
Four different meanings.
One very special little boy.
From the moment guests entered Honcho’s world, to the ceiling above them, and finally to the stage where all the memories were made, every detail was designed to tell a story, not just to look beautiful, but to mean something.
And more than anything, I couldn’t be more grateful for the trust this family entrusted to us. 🤍
