My dog and my home and Why I keep a Home Art Studio

For contemporary artists, I love having my very own curated gallery walls at home because it serves as an essential sanctuary for my daily creative therapy. Even my dogs appreciate art. They love to sleep in areas next to our gallery art walls 🤗

Surrounding myself with expressive art transforms our humble living spaces into peaceful retreats, helping clear often our mental fatigues, foster deep self-reflections, and grounds the emotional well-being of me and my family where I am able to organize an inspiring space that heals and restores the mind.

No matter how tiny your space is, find a way to decorate it with your handmade works of art.

PRAYER FOR THE SEASON OF WAITING

Lord, today I come before you with a humble and a teachable heart. Lord, there are many things I have asked you for.

I have prayed for open doors.
I have prayed for blessings.
I have prayed for opportunities, provisions, healing, restoration, favor and breakthroughs.

But today Father, my prayer is different.

Today I pray, "Lord prepare me for what I've been praying for, so when it comes, I won't mishandle it."

Father if the blessing arrived today, help me be ready.
If the opportunity arrived today, help me be prepared.
If the answer arrived today, help me have the wisdom, maturity, and character to handle it correctly.

Prepare my heart before you enlarge my responsibilities, Lord.
Prepare my character before you increase my influences, Lord.
Prepare my wisdom before you increase my sources, Lord.
Prepare my faith before you elevate me into new opportunities.

Father while we wait in this Season of Waiting, please help us prepare. Teach us lessons we need to learn. Amen

Creative Art Design Curation

I love doing dynamic contrasts on my pieces: Sharp, fine lines rendered with thick coffee reduction stand out vividly against broad, soft washes, producing striking focal points and crisp silhouettes. During my solo exhibition then at the SM CIty Cebu Art Center, I had exhibited coffee painting pieces showing coffee wash/stains on matted large canvas (Ode to Pieta piece) showcasing how a rustic toned piece can be achieved using the coffee (as (difficult) medium. - Bisai

SPATIAL ART DESIGN

As a painter backed by over 20 years of five star hospitality background, I grew accustomed to seeing wide and large paintings adorn the hotel I worked in. That gave me an idea to specialize my art brand toward creating spontaneous abstract expressionism and non-traditional material innovations.

My practice explores instinctive movement, tactile textures, and emotional resonance using oils, acrylics, mixed media, and organic coffee washes. I consider focusing my talent in spatial art integration, I believe I have bridged high-end architectural developments, public museum-scale exhibitions, and gallery curation—transforming physical environments into immersive cultural spaces. - Bisai

The Spiritual Abstract Expressionist

Driven by purpose and intentionality, I approach abstract expressionism as both an artistic methodology and a spiritual discipline. Distinguishing myself within the Philippine art scene, where few painters dedicate their core practice to pure modern abstraction, I begin every canvas with a quiet moment of prayer and intention. I find my vibrant compositions act as spiritual visual sanctuaries—bursting with energetic layers of color, texture, and light designed to uplift, heal, and connect with the viewer on an intuitive level. - Bisai
