The Facilitator:
Adam Guevarra Almeniana is an accomplished theatre practitioner from Bicol, Philippines, and a graduate of the prestigious Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI) in Singapore. He has immersed himself deeply in four traditional theatre forms—Kutiyattam of India, Beijing Opera of China, Noh Theatre of Japan, and Wayang Wong of Indonesia—refining his craft as an actor and exploring the transformative potential of these traditions in contemporary art forms.
In addition to his intercultural training, Adam has explored the techniques and elements of Clowning, the Suzuki Actor’s Method, Viewpoints, and Estill Voice Practice, further expanding his artistic repertoire. His rigorous training has honed his ability to seamlessly integrate traditional and contemporary approaches, crafting performances that are deeply rooted in cultural heritage while pushing creative boundaries.
Adam’s notable productions include The Cats Dance by the Lights and Steven Berkoff’s adaptation of Metamorphosis, staged at the Esplanade in Singapore in 2024. As a workshop facilitator, he has inspired artists and audiences alike through his innovative methods and passion for theatrical storytelling.
Through his artistry, Adam aims to challenge conventions, ignite meaningful dialogue, and create transformative theatrical experiences that resonate with diverse audiences around the world.
