A project we’ve been working on for the past two years. We are happy to share that Casa Trasera at Is finally open for bookings- rooms carefully designed with the best of Fil-Northern hospitality in mind. Locally made furniture, handwoven inabel pillows and bed covers, custom capiz lights and photos of La Union life personally taken by us adorn the walls.

Beside it is the al fresco bar and restaurant La Fora serving delicious Filipino food inspired by Ilocano cuisine. For the best sunset and views of San Juan, La Union come visit The Mansion. A boutique hotel project designed by Grupo Santamaria.

.santamaria Art Break: The National Museum of the Philippines presents “Art Deco: Modernity and Design in the Philippines 1925-1950,” a major exhibition featuring over 300 objects celebrating the centennial of the Art Deco style.

This exhibition, curated by the Architectural Arts and Built Heritage Division (AABHD) alongside Ivan Man Dy and Miguel Rosales, is the largest ever devoted to this design period in the Philippines. Congratulations to our friend , the whole team left the museum inspired by the design sensibilities of the period.

Exhibit runs until May 31, 2026.

The Oath-taking Ceremonies for the newly elected Board of Trustees of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers took place at the Goldenberg Mansion last Feb 20, 2026. Congratulations to the new officers and to our Principal Designer, IDr. Nina Rica M. Santamaria, for being elected as Director for Professional Development for the term 2026-27.

We attended the Philippine International Furniture Show last week and the whole team enjoyed the Relief Printmaking Workshop by IDr. Cyrene Navia and the Interior Photography lecture by Ed Simon. We enjoyed touring the different manufacturers’ booths at the exhibit area especially the .official ‘s Future Five special exhibition. Loaded up on creativity inspo and ready to go back to work!
