My claytoon take on Dinuguan capturing the rich, bold character of this iconic Filipino dish in sculpted form. I focused on texture and contrast, from the deep, glossy stew to the tender cuts, bringing a comfort food classic to life in clay.
‎A traditional Filipino stew made with pork simmered in a savory blend of pig’s blood, vinegar, garlic, and spices, known for its deep, tangy flavor and rich dark sauce. Masarap ito.

‎This is one of the prototypes for the second series of Xerophytes. I just haven’t had the time to make it because I’ve been busy with projects. During the pandemic, I was able to create six sets of Xerophytes, and they all sold out.
‎Now, with the rising cost of goods and other expenses, we really need to adapt to this kind of situation just like this mini Xerophyte figure I made.
