• Light • Neat • Straightforward •

Client wanted a breath of fresh air for their abode that requires minimal renovation works at a controlled cost. For technical people, we usually call this a /fast fix/. Client reached out to us midway of the renovation for a design consultation of their gate, kitchen, and media console at living room.

• For the /Kitchen/, we recommended to replace the old cabinets (that uses particle board which is not advisable for kitchen due to thermal expansion and chipping). We replaced it with new cabinet carcasses and doors using laminated marine plywood, while still retaining the existing L-shaped granite countertop. We integrated cove lights on top of the overhead cab to add ambiance, and an underlight to improve functionality of countertop for food prep and cooking.

• For the /media console/, we recommended to simply put WPC panels as an accent wall complimenting the existing hanging TV console. It breaks the monotonous plain white walls of the living room.

• For the /gate/, we recommended to cover the big gaps of the steel bars with a ficem board (senepa board) for privacy, additional security & protection. And topped it off with a “wengge” finish that imitates a wood panel to add character on the exterior of the house.

Signature and character.

Apart from that bright teal color, the has always been a constant design feat in every branch of Tablo. In our previous scheme, we tried to incorporate this to our facade to create variation from the monotonous linear architectural elements. Later through the design development stage, it was toned down to a simple sunshade louver. But as we all know now, it was replaced with a more interesting deco wall which was from the original scheme for the concept restaurant. In the new branch, band of backlit chevron pattern accentuated walls and window clerestory.

Trivia: came from a vulgar latin word caprio which means “rafters”, referring to the pattern’s resemblance to two roof beams. In military, Chevron is a pattern pertaining to rank and . 🤯🧠👀🔥

’s curved corner wall transitioning from the default shade of Faux Concrete to a more vibrant tone of white sand that resembles a limestone to achieve that vibe the client wanted.

But the true concept here was heavily influenced by the Old desert architecture characterized by round edges, mortar/concrete, limestone, high mass, and small openings.

Interesting, right? 🤯😱😉👀🔥

渋い [Shibui]
•adjective• -Particular aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty.

A little over 4 square meters in area, we were able to transform this kitchen to something astonishing. The client, being an avid fan of Japan and its culture, wanted to have that Japandi vibe for his home in Amaia Series Nuvali. To achieve this, We wanted the space to have that calm, neat, and bright aura, giving emphasis on the element of the light hue of wood complimenting the surrounding white walls. We strategically designed a double volume overhead cabinet and open hanging shelves taking full advantage of the space’s existing ceiling height to have more room for storage. We intentionally designed the nook as a flexible part of the kitchen that serves as an area for food prep, a diner, and can be a work station too. We used tubular wooden slats to obscure the view of the kitchen from the adjacent living room, dining room, and stairs but not totally disconnecting the kitchen’s energy from the adjacent areas. And to cap it off, we used ambient lights to enhance the subtle mood, and to highlight the fine alignment of lines and the beautiful edges of each element.

We are truly grateful to our client, Mr. Teddy Velez for giving us the opportunity to design his kitchen. It was challenging, but at the same time it was really great to see our client and a friend satisfied with the outcome of this project.

“What you see is what you get.”

In Arkyopolis, we always aim to deliver what we have promised to our clients. ARKY meticulously inspect every corner, every nitty gritty parts of the project to make sure that the plans are being implemented correctly, and the approved designer’s intent is being followed. Given that the area is compact, we utilized the space’s generous height and made a double volume overhead cabinets for more storage. There are two important factors we emphasized on; Clean termination of edges, and the alignment of each elements in the design. These factors help us attain the desired outcome of the project, and achieve that Japanese minimalist look that the client wanted.

We are looking forward to its completion and see the space lit up!

Waddup ARKYfam! Just a little some-some for our dearest ARKY fans! Here’s a little on-site changes and facade development that’s been happening lately. Remember that sunshade deco-wall in our 1st scheme we presented for their concept resto? Well the client surprisingly brought it back to life and decided to use it for their new concept resto . We’re happy to see it resurrected on the facade and we’re really excited to see it cast that interesting play of shadows! But wait there’s more! That sweet sexy curved wall on the left wing is shaping up really well too! Super excited for that cozy pocket garden between the left and right wing. That glass roof will surely give you an airy feeling that makes you feel connected to the space itself. 😌 That pocket garden sure is a ! Check out the other photos too! Target opening is very very soon! Can’t spill yet that it’s going to be this September! Oops 🙊 See ya ARKY fam! 🫶🏻
