Starting out in a modest 3 x 6 (18 sq. rented space at Agoncillo St. Malate, Manila in late 1976, The Framer Enterprises was conceived by its owner-manager, Mrs. Didit Generoso Young, even while she was still the Assistant Curator of Rustan’s Galerie Bleue and later Curator /Manager of The Gallery at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, right after her graduation from the University of the Philippines with an AB degree, major in Humanities. Realizing the indispensability of quality framing jobs in the presentation of art shows and exhibits in the art galleries she was then managing, Didit Young decided to embark on this new undertaking, keeping foremost in her mind the fact that despite the many established frame shops to compete with, there still was room for a quality shop which would cater to the needs of an art-conscious and discriminating public. Through hard work and continuous research and upgrading of tools and equipment, and a constant exposure to the art scene. The Framer Enterprises grew in size and clientele, and eventually transferred its main offices and shops to BF Homes Subdivision in
Parañaque City in 1985. Last March 2010, THE FRAMER ENTERPRISES was registered as a corporation, expanding its ownership, on a free-stock option, to include three of its most senior employees who had been with the company since 30 years ago.
