Here's what you can expect this weekend 🎉 We're bringing our bottled gata: laing, bicol express, sinantolan, gooey coco jam, and pili coco jam, and rice meals with Tatay's lechon kawali! We also have pop-up exclusive bundle deals if you want to try a few things at once! 🤤💛

Pili in every scoop. 😋 We grew up with pili coco jam, but it always felt like the pili was just there on the sides. So we made our own version where every spoonful actually has pili nuts in it! It's creamy, it's nutty, and it tastes like the one we wish we had growing up. Try it at the pop-up this weekend! 💛

Sharing an updated menu of our bottled products 🤍 Our Heritage Gata line: Laing, Sinantolan, Bicol Express, plus our Pili Overload Coco Jam and Gooey Coco Jam. All made in small batches in our kitchen.

Nanay and Tatay dropped by Coffee, Friends and got to try how they’ve been serving our laing, sinantolan, and pili overload coco jam 🤍

They were pleasantly surprised, and even happier to hear that people have been enjoying it too!! 🤩

If you’re along Marcos Highway, you can drop by for good coffee, pastries, and find some of our bottled gata there!

Our gata dishes and pili coco jam made their way to Marcos Highway, Antipolo!! 🤍

Coffee, Friends reached out for Women’s Month to work with women-owned businesses, and we appreciated how thoughtfully they brought our products into their menu. We didn’t expect it at first, but a warm, sweet pandesal with our gata dishes works 🤯

We also love how they take their coffee and offerings seriously (their saba con hielo is our fave!!). If you’re nearby, you can try their special menu and see our products, alongside other women-owned brands, in their space for the rest of the month. 😍

Throwback from our shoot back in July (because we’re still kilig) when Tatay cooked Sinantolan for ’s Around the Philippines: Gata episode. 🥥

Sinantolan looks straightforward, but as Tatay shared in the video, there’s a lot of quiet prep behind it. The santol rind is grated, salted, and squeezed to take out the bitterness and acrid taste. Often times, it’s also fermented to lessen the sourness and also for it to be kept until the next season. When cooking, not all the gata goes in at once, some is saved for pahabol at the end, which really helps round out the taste. And like most coconut milk dishes, it tastes even better the next day! 😉 Just one of those dishes that teaches you patience and why these little steps matter. ❤️
