Also known as the Peacock Plant and Cathedral Windows, the Calathea Makoyana is native to the tropical forests of Brazil which is found growing under the shade canopies of the tall, tropical trees. It features purplish coloring on the undersides of leaves, with white and green on top.
☀️: Thrives well in bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight.
💦: Best to keep soil continuously moist. Avoid overwatering.
Note that this plant is highly sensitive to cold, drafts, and sudden temperature fluctuation.
