COMPLIANCE OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Familiarizes and maintain knowledge of the processing of licenses and permits necessary for various types of projects.
• Research local ordinances of a specific site project and stay up-to-date in legal matters of compliance and auditing.
• Read and interoperate new local and national laws, particularly in architectural and in construction.
• Able to provide regular recommendations for training, retraining, new equipment, and devising a functional and efficient schedule for maintaining high levels of compliance.
• Able to record observed activities with notes detailed enough to create a full report about compliance level and process.
• Organize and maintain detailed records of individual and group activities about a specific compliance process in a format that is easy to access and read.
• Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
• Evaluate business activities (e.g., investments and financing) to assess compliance risk, which may involve in the processing fee of permits and licenses.
• Collaborate with external auditors (if necessary) to establish external communication.
• Develops initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manages day-to-day operation of the Program.
• Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of any course, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Auditing or any related field.
• A minimum of at least 3-5 years of experience as a compliance officer familiarizes on the process of permits and licenses.
Required Skills:
• Excellent and strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency and fluency in speaking English, Tagalog, and other native dialects.
• Integrity and professional ethics.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS, etc.)
• Attention to details.
• Familiarity with real estate and construction industry practices and professional standards.
• Experience in risk management.
• Teamwork skills.
