1st month of 2026— the time where we spread out our new planners, notebooks or journals with the drive and excitement of planning and strategizing our whole year. We set goals, picture out visions, and organize everything just to accomplish our purpose.

That's why here is a wonderful reminder to all of us:
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

May we be reminded of some simple truths to guide us in our planning our year...

1️⃣ We are free to plan out, but let us be reminded that the human foresight has its limitations; life can be unpredictable and that goes beyond our control. God alone has the complete sovereignty and ultimate authority over human affairs. We should recognize that His purpose is and will always be supreme.

2️⃣ Understanding the supremacy of God's purpose over our life should lead to humility and complete dependence on Him, trusting His wisdom and not our own.

3️⃣ It is important to seek God's will. We are called to align our plans with God's will through prayer and studying His Word. We should ensure that our desires are in harmony with His purpose for us.

4️⃣ Trust in God's perfect plan. Even when our plans fail and things don't go as we expected, we can find comfort in knowing that His purpose is for our ultimate good, this will bring us peace and contentment in all circumstances.

5️⃣ Be filled with biblical wisdom as you plan. This includes seeking God's guidance first in our decision-making processes. We open up ourselves for His direction and leading.

Plan your year wisely and with the Lord! 🤍
