Fresh of the hook
One for me, one for my baby.
I have been going back and forth in crocheting.
My kuya thought me crocheting when we we’re still in elementary, it’s part of his MAPEH (OMG I feel so old!!!) subject in school. I can still remember the color blue Monaco thread he used for his project in which they needed to show the basic stitches in crochet ( chains, single crochet, double crochet ). I think I learned it pretty fast but I wasn’t able to pursue it since I was still a student with no extra money to buy yarns.😂. Fast forward to high school, with my extra money I bought some yarn and was able to make small items like coin purse and ballpen holders. The biggest project I made was a black bag with a pink skull in the middle (I’m an Avril Lavigne fan just and FYI 🤘) and I was really proud of it, sadly I don’t have any pictures of it and I’m really not sure as well where it is now 😅. Then come college and then work, was really not able to crochet because “adulting” 😂.
Then I had my first born, I partially went back and said to myself I’ll make clothes for him, but this didn’t happen since I was still working.
Then comes my second child, I chose to stay at home to take care of both my children and decided I want to go back to crocheting again cause it might be a good source of extra income for us. Since it has been some time since I last crocheted I didn’t think the projects I made was worth any money so while I practice and regain my confidence in crocheting, I tried to sell yarns and other crochet things which led to starting YarnProject.ph. It was going well despite the pandemic but sadly I wasn’t able to manage it properly and it became unprofitable so I had to close out my small shop and I also stopped crocheting.
That was about two years ago, and then now, again, I’m trying to get back to crocheting. Hopefully I will be able to stay crocheting this time.
