The finest kaleji in town.
And you have to trust me on that. I was non-kaleji person but this recipe changed the whole game.
I used to give coal smoke at the end but as we know,
Means are scarce and needs are unlimited 🤌
Note down the ingredients we need:
1 kg kaleji
½ cup or less oil
4 medium sized Onions chopped
2 tbsp GG Paste
2 big tomatoes roughly chopped
½ cup Yogurt
½ tsp salt or required after cooking
½ tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp crushed Black pepper powder not powdered
½ tsp Red chilli flakes
½ tsp red chilli powder
3 tbsp coriander & cumin seeds (roasted and crushed)
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2-3 green chillies chopped for garnishing
Recipe:
Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and cook till golden.
Add gg paste, sauté.
Add Turmeric, red chillie flakes & powder, coriander & cumin crushed and roasted mixture.
(You can add 1.5 coriander and 1.5 tbsp cumin)
Cook spices well or add water for your ease.
Add tomatoes and cover lid till tomatoes are perfectly tendered.
Add yogurt and stir for 2 minutes then add kaleji. Give a nice mix and cover the lid for 6-7 minutes.
Add crushed Black pepper, mix and cover the lid again for 3 minutes.
Add salt and garam masala powder, stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Give a coal smoke, serve with rice or roti🥂.
Ps. You can add Black pepper powder but it will dark you dish color so try to add it in the end. Freshly crushed Black pepper Give an aromatic and delicious taste.
