Ancient eyes from Sardinia, staring back after thousands of years.
This small carved head is inspired by the famous “Giants of Mont’e Prama” — ancient stone statues made by the Nuragic civilization in Sardinia, dating all the way back to the Iron Age. Look at those striking round eyes and the sharp T-shaped brow — this exact style is what makes the original statues so recognizable in history books.
This piece is a modern reproduction, carved with the same iconic facial features as the originals, which were discovered fragmented in Sardinia back in 1974. It’s displayed on a dark wooden scroll stand, giving it that proper museum-style presentation.

I have this Rubab in my antique collection, and when this gentleman visited my shop, I asked him to play it for me. He picked it up and brought its beautiful sound back to life.
