Combining classic and modern styles is one of the most inspiring approaches in interior design. At first glance, these styles may seem contradictory – classic design emphasizes order and symmetry, while modern design focuses on minimalism, asymmetry, and material contrasts. Yet, when brought together, they create interiors full of elegance, dynamism, and unique character.

An example of this is the bedroom I designed, where the glamour style meets a modern approach to form and light. The central point is a large bed with a tufted headboard, while the wall behind it is divided into two contrasting elements: reflective black glass and a bright surface with decorative moldings. Asymmetrical lighting brings additional dynamism – pendant lamps on one side and wall sconces on the other. The combination of dark wooden flooring, a light rug, and an illuminated ceiling creates a coherent and elegant whole.

Designing interiors based on contrasts allows the creation of spaces that are both modern and timeless. I believe the ability to combine and play with different styles is the key to creating exceptional interiors – spaces that inspire and leave a lasting impression.

PL: Łączenie klasyki z nowoczesnością to jedna z najbardziej inspirujących ścieżek w projektowaniu wnętrz. Na pierwszy rzut oka style te mogą wydawać się sprzeczne – klasyka to porządek i symetria, a nowoczesność to minimalizm, asymetria i gra materiałów. Jednak ich zestawienie daje możliwość stworzenia wnętrz pełnych elegancji, dynamiki i niepowtarzalnego charakteru.

Przykładem jest zaprojektowana przeze mnie sypialnia, w której styl glamour łączy się z nowoczesnym podejściem do formy i światła. Centralnym punktem jest duże łóżko z pikowanym wezgłowiem, a ściana za nim została podzielona na dwa kontrastowe elementy: refleksyjne czarne szkło i jasną powierzchnię ze sztukaterią. Dodatkową dynamikę wnosi asymetryczne oświetlenie – lampy wiszące z jednej strony i kinkiety z drugiej. Połączenie ciemnej, drewnianej podłogi z jasnym dywanem i podświetlanym sufitem tworzy spójną, elegancką całość.

Projektowanie wnętrz opartych na kontrastach pozwala tworzyć przestrzenie nowoczesne, a zarazem ponadczasowe. To właśnie umiejętność łączenia różnych stylów i bawienia się nimi uważam za klucz do tworzenia wnętrz wyjątkowych – wnętrz, które inspirują i zapadają w pamięć.

Luxury Restroom — Details That Define the Experience

Designing luxury interiors is not only about grand living rooms or elegant lobbies. Spaces that are often overlooked — such as guest restrooms or public washrooms — can also surprise, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.

In one of my recent projects, I created a restroom that merges bold contrasts with refined materials. Black and gold marble bring drama and elegance, balanced by subtle whites and greys. A warm honeycomb mosaic adds depth and sophistication. A freestanding sink with a ceiling-mounted faucet becomes a sculptural centerpiece, while a large illuminated circular mirror sets the mood and enhances the luxurious ambiance.

For me, luxury lies in the details and in thoughtfully designing every functional space. A restroom should (and can!) be an extension of the entire design concept — not just a practical room.

Projects like this are a true pleasure — combining beauty, comfort, and functionality in a cohesive, intentional way.

PL: Luksusowa toaleta — detale, które budują doświadczenie

Projektowanie luksusowych wnętrz to nie tylko reprezentacyjne salony czy eleganckie lobby. Równie ważne są przestrzenie, które często pozostają w cieniu — jak toalety dla gości i przestrzenie publiczne. Właśnie one potrafią zaskoczyć, zachwycić i na długo zapisać się w pamięci.

W swoim ostatnim projekcie stworzyłem toaletę, która łączy odważne kontrasty i szlachetne materiały. Czerń i złoto marmuru zestawiłem z subtelną bielą i szarościami. Ciepła mozaika w kształcie plastra miodu wprowadza głębię i elegancję. Wolnostojąca umywalka z baterią zwieszoną z sufitu staje się rzeźbiarskim elementem wnętrza, a ogromne podświetlane okrągłe lustro buduje nastrojowe światło i podkreśla wyrafinowany charakter przestrzeni.

Dla mnie luksus zaczyna się w detalach i konsekwentnym myśleniu o każdej strefie użytkowej. Toaleta może (i powinna!) być naturalnym przedłużeniem stylistyki całego obiektu, nie tylko praktycznym pomieszczeniem.

To właśnie takie projekty sprawiają mi ogromną satysfakcję — łączenie estetyki, komfortu i funkcji w przemyślanej, spójnej całości.

🔹 A New Life for an Old Home – Facade Transformation 🔹

📍 Location: Bydgoszcz, Poland

You don’t need to demolish to impress!

This project proves that even an older building can gain a completely new look with a well-thought-out architectural concept.

What started as a simple refresh of the entrance quickly turned into a complete facade renovation. The result? A cohesive, modern, and elegant exterior that completely transformed the look of the house and significantly increased its value.

✨ Key highlights of the design:

– modern materials: architectural concrete and stone-effect tiles

– Alpine-inspired style

– a fresh color palette in shades of grey and anthracite

– light, minimalist metal railings

– new lighting that enhances the architecture, even at night

– a comprehensive design for all facades, not just the front

This is more than aesthetics – it’s about function, durability, and a new quality of life in a familiar space.

📍 Lokalizacja: Bydgoszcz, Polska

Nie trzeba burzyć, żeby zachwycać!

Ten projekt to dowód na to, że nawet starszy budynek może zyskać zupełnie nowe oblicze dzięki dobrze przemyślanej koncepcji architektonicznej.

Początkowo celem była jedynie zmiana strefy wejściowej. Jednak szybko okazało się, że warto pójść o krok dalej. Efekt? Spójna, nowoczesna i elegancka elewacja, która zupełnie odmieniła wygląd domu i zwiększyła jego wartość.

✨ Główne założenia projektu:

– nowoczesne materiały: beton architektoniczny, płytki imitujące kamień

– inspiracja stylem alpejskim

– nowa kolorystyka w odcieniach szarości i antracytu

– lekkie, metalowe balustrady

– nowe oświetlenie, które podkreśla bryłę również wieczorem

– kompleksowe opracowanie wszystkich elewacji, nie tylko frontowej

To nie tylko estetyka – to także funkcjonalność, trwałość i nowa jakość życia w dobrze znanym miejscu.

Ten projekt salonu to esencja stylu glamour — bogactwo detali, luksusowe materiały i wyrazista dekoracyjność. Tu nic nie jest przypadkowe. Każdy element — od marmurowych wykończeń, przez akcenty w kolorze rose gold, aż po efektowną, dekoracyjną ścianę — ma podkreślać prestiż i reprezentacyjny charakter wnętrza.

To przestrzeń, która robi wrażenie i przyciąga spojrzenia. Idealna dla tych, którzy kochają klasykę w nowoczesnym wydaniu, ale nie boją się odważnych, artystycznych decyzji projektowych.

Styl glamour nie udaje skromności — wręcz przeciwnie. To świadoma celebracja luksusu i elegancji, z dużą dbałością o jakość i kompozycję.

Light plays an important role in interiors and is not only functional.
Apart from the obvious function of ensuring proper visibility, light influences the atmosphere of the interior. The intensity of light, its color and the direction of light can completely change the designed interior.

Below is a conceptual design of a sportswear store, where light plays a key role in the interior design. Pink light goes perfectly with blue, creating a unique character of the interior.

HOUSE IN THE SUBURBS

Location: Solec Kujawski, Poland
Surface: ~160,00 sqm

Design of the facade of a single-family building made for the Magprojekt company. I would like to share with you the interesting story of this project. One day I was approached by a client who had built a house that she didn't like visually. The shape was too simple and uninteresting. She asked me to design a facade for her that would meet all her expectations and make a good impression. It was a very interesting experience for me.

First, I created vertical divisions of the facade using facade lamellas imitating wood. Thanks to this, the shape visually fragmented, creating the impression of a more complicated form. Secondly, I designed the roof. Thanks to large poles and frames, I managed to isolate new forms from the structure. In this way, the building changed its original shape. Thirdly, I used dark facade panels imitating concrete to further isolate the spaces under the roof, creating a visual impression of depth. The entrance space has been even more highlighted and accentuated.

At the back, the roof over the terrace made the structure more monumental and modern. To further accentuate the façade and illuminate the space around it, I added recessed lighting under the roof. It gave it chic and elegance. This is also functional because the space around the building was previously dark. Paths, stairs and terraces are also a very important element. Modern dark concrete paving slabs are elegant, durable and easy to clean.

Accessories such as flower pots, fencing, area lighting and greenery complete the vision. A shelter next to the building protects against rain. An interesting solution to the problem of an empty, straight building wall was to design climbing greenery on one of the building's facades. It breathed a lot of life into this project. Finally, I managed to bring out the hidden potential in this project. The project met the client's expectations.
