A picture paints a thousand words so they say.
Well does it also tell how many hours went into creating the components that make up that very same picture?
From the very fabric of the room which comprised micro-cement and reclaimed hardwood flooring which had to travel some 1658km to find its new forever home. To the antique rug which also had quite a journey of 3056km. The only new element within the photo is actually the sofa! ☺️
The focal point, which also happens to be one of my favourite creations happens to be the coffee table made from antique mechanical wheels and cogs all fused together, cleaned and restored to repurpose in its new form. The glass top as you may notice was a particular triumph being that the protruding elements of the top wheel are cut out from the glass so that the two components entwine in harmony. The fragility of the glass coupled with the tough nature of its supporting structure is the perfect juxtaposition 👌🏻
