Sustainable Lighting from Portugal Boah Nova is a creative and productive hub located in Leça da Palmeira, in the North of Portugal.

Boah Nova brings together the flair of new designers in a workplace where creativity and experimentation reign free. What binds different people together at Boah Nova is a love for design and an ever-ending pursuit of beauty in new product development. Our lamp shades are truly original, unique and sustainable. At Boah Nova, products are carefully developed with the time they deserve, inspired by the local light and the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean. Each product is authored by one of the partner designers. The production is then made in-house and in collaboration with local producers, combining their expertise and handmade skills with digital production tools. Sustainability guides everything that is done at Boah Nova, and it means to: (1) use ecological and recyclable materials that are already on the market; (2) employ simple and widely available electric components that can be easily sourced and repaired; (3) follow ethical principles such as a respect for the environment and a fair payment to all involved in the business activities; (4) create timeless designs that endure over time.

Some objects simply feel right. The BENK pendant lamp is a single curved form, shaped by hand in Portugal, with a warm glow. There’s nothing extra here. Beauty, in its simplest form.

KORAx is an unhurried curve that holds a room on its own. Its glow gathers at the edge, giving the piece the poise of a sculpture. Once placed, nothing else is needed.

XPEG explores light through layers, openings and proportion. Rather than simply illuminating a room, it gives light a quiet architectural presence. A piece designed to change the atmosphere around it without demanding attention. Available in ceiling, table and floor versions.

FARE is built from the belief that a lamp shouldn't chase trends, but earn its place in a room for years to come. No unnecessary detail, no decoration for decoration's sake - just form, material, and light working as they should. Every slat is there because it needs to be, nothing more. FARE: light made with intention.

A glimpse of our PUGO pendant and PUGOf floor lamp in action. Crafted to cast a warm, intimate glow, these pieces blend organic textures with architectural lines for a space that feels both grounded and elevated. Following the spirit of Aalto, we regard light as an organic element that brings warmth and quiet emotion into daily life.
