✨ Maximum impact. Real results. Before finding her passion in residential staging design, the founder of The Griff Edit spent over ten years in the corporate world, specialising in transformation projects and change management. That career built a strong foundation in strategic thinking, communication, and delivery under pressure – ski

lls she now brings to the world of home staging. But what truly sets her apart is her hands-on experience in the very challenges her clients face. Her journey into interiors began unexpectedly when she and her partner needed to sell their own family home – one that had sat on the market for over 15 weeks with no offers, due to its location on a busy main road. Taking matters into her own hands, she removed personal items, staged the home thoughtfully, and styled it with curated accessories. The result? A surge in viewings and a firm offer within three weeks. This real-world success sparked her passion for transforming spaces and understanding exactly how presentation influences perception and price. That passion deepened in 2021 when she project-managed and renovated a five-bedroom Victorian probate property. From layout and interior design to selecting finishes and furniture, she rebuilt everything from the inside out—retaining only the outer walls and roof. After completing the home’s interiors, she turned her attention outdoors, designing and overseeing the full garden transformation, including contractor management and material sourcing. This experience gave her deep insight into the needs of both buyers and sellers navigating big lifestyle transitions. That hobby became a calling when friends began requesting help staging their own properties. After a second successful staging led to another quick sale, she committed fully to launching The Griff Edit – a business that blends creativity, strategic project management, and buyer psychology to help others achieve similar success.

✨Uni Room Hack Parents NEED to Know✨

It doesn’t have to be a cold, empty box when your child moves into student halls or a rented flat. With a few budget-friendly tricks, you can help them create a space that feels like home away from home 💕

✔️ Damage-proof furniture – think foldable desks, clip-on shelves, and storage ottomans (no nails = no landlord drama).
✔️ Low-maintenance fabrics – washable cushion covers, wipe-clean throws, and bedding that survives ALL the laundry mistakes.
✔️ Multi-use pieces – a daybed that’s both a sofa and a guest bed, or a pouffe that doubles as a seat + table.
✔️ Soft touches – pillows, fairy lights, and a rug instantly turn sterile student rooms into cosy retreats.

Small touches = BIG comfort. And best part? It’s all cost-effective, renter-friendly, and stress-proof for parents too. 🎓💡

🚪✨ Let’s Talk Front Doors… ✨🚪

Have you ever had to push against your UPVC or composite door in the winter or during extreme heat just to get the key to turn? You’re not alone.

When I renovated, I was told a composite door would be the answer; no drafts, no swelling like wood. But guess what? Composite doors can have the same issues.

The truth is, when you’re buying into a development or making a renovation decision, you’re not always given the full picture of the pros and cons. Doors aren’t just about aesthetics , they’re an investment in comfort, energy efficiency, and security.

🔑 Take your time.
🔑 Do your homework.
🔑 Ask the right questions before you buy.

I’d love to know — what’s your experience been like with UPVC or composite doors?

✨ Why Lighting Can Make or Break a Room ✨

I’ve seen so many beautifully designed rooms where the only thing missing is the right light. Lighting isn’t just about being able to see; it sets the mood, enhances colours, and brings out the textures in your space.

A common misconception? That warmer lighting means you won’t be able to read or work properly. In reality, the right warm light can still provide all the clarity you need while making your room feel inviting and balanced.

Think of it this way: you wouldn’t wear the wrong shade of foundation or paint a wall in a colour that doesn’t suit the space, so why leave your lighting as an afterthought?

💡 Warmer tones = cosier, more welcoming
💡 Layered lighting = flexibility for every moment
💡 The right bulb = harmony between style and function

Sometimes, the simplest switch in bulbs can elevate your home as much as new furniture.

💡Interior design tip: Don’t be afraid to mix unexpected materials in your home. Think reclaimed wood, industrial metals, sculptural lighting or even framed street art. It’s these bold statements that tell your story.

Would you bring this kind of fearless energy into your home?

🏠 How Much of You Should Be in a Staged Home?

It’s a common question and an important one.

When staging a property for sale, your personal style isn’t the star. The goal isn’t to showcase your taste but to create a space that appeals to many.

🎯 As seasoned staging professionals will tell you:

“Staging is not decorating. It’s marketing.”

That means neutral tones, clean lines, and just enough warmth to spark the imagination without overwhelming it. Your favourite neon artwork or bold wallpaper might be stunning, but if it distracts buyers from seeing the home’s features, it’s time to scale back.

At The Griff Edit, we strike the balance:
✔️ Design-led but buyer-focused
✔️ Contemporary but not cold
✔️ Memorable but never too specific

Think of it as curating a lifestyle that buyers aspire to, not showcasing yours.

📩 Ready to transform your space before you list? Let’s talk.

The UK sunshine is finally making an appearance and we’re soaking up every golden ray. This piece from The Griff Edit celebrates that feeling—sun-drenched stone, Mediterranean arches, and textures that feel like a late afternoon stroll through a calm courtyard.

It’s a reminder to slow down, open the windows, and let a little warmth in.

Which room in your home could use a touch of sunshine all year round?

✨ Hallway Art Hanging Tips from an Interior Designer ✨

Hallways are not just for passing through. They are an untapped design moment. Here is how to hang artwork in your hallway like a professional.

🖼️ Eye Level is Key
Hang the centre of your artwork at 145 to 150 cm from the floor. This is the average eye level and creates a natural, gallery-style feel.

📏 Spacing Matters
Leave 5 to 7 cm between frames in a gallery wall for a clean and cohesive look. Too close feels cluttered, too far feels disconnected.

🧱 Consider the Wall Width
Narrow hallway? Choose a linear arrangement with similarly sized frames. Wider hallway? A salon-style gallery wall with mixed sizes adds character.

💡 Let There Be Light
Install picture lights or ceiling spotlights to highlight your art and create atmosphere, especially in longer or darker corridors.

🖤 Cohesive Storytelling
Stick to a consistent theme, colour palette or frame style to bring everything together.

Pro tip: Lay your artwork out on the floor first before picking up the hammer. It helps you visualise the final result.

🖼️ If there’s one thing that transforms a space instantly, it’s artwork.

Whether you’re staging to sell or just refreshing your home, adding art brings in character, warmth and a sense of intention.

It’s not just decoration.
It’s a mood setter.
A conversation starter.
A signal that this home has style and soul.

At The Griff Edit, we use carefully chosen pieces to
✔ Draw the eye
✔ Anchor a room
✔ Create that “I could live here” feeling

You don’t need a full makeover. Sometimes all it takes is the right piece in the right place.
