Today we’ve been out photographing façade tiles as part of our work documenting and helping preserve Porto’s tile heritage.

This time, we found 6 new tile models. We are now organising the images, editing them, and preparing everything to upload them to our website www.azulejosporto.pt

⚠️This tiles façade in Rua de Santa Catarina nº 368 (Porto) has a construction notice.

We don’t yet know what will happen to them. That’s why we’ve asked the City Council for information, to understand whether they will be preserved, removed or replaced.

We will share any updates when we know more.

This pattern, represents one of the most common decorative typologies of Porto’s tilework tradition and was produced in one of the city’s most important factories - Miragaia Factory - where serial production responded to the architectural and urban demand of the period.
