Împletitul papurei în Tonciu este

un meșteșug cu o tradiție veche de mai multe sute de ani. Mai demult obiectele din papură erau vândute doar în piețele din țară, dar, de câțiva ani au ajuns și în străinătate, mai ales în Ungaria, unde se bucură de recunoaștere internațională și sunt apreciate în mod deosebit. Produse noastre: coșuri pentru cumpărături, coșuri de ouă și pâine, păretare, suporturi pentru oale, pentru diferite obiecte de bucătărie, pentru ghivece de flori, cutii pentru cadouri, ștergătoare, pălării și multe alte obiecte.
