About the artist: Ana Bănică (b. 1978, Craiova) is a Romanian painter and graphic artist. She graduated in Graphics (2002) and completed Advanced Studies in Visual Arts (2003) at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. She currently teaches Graphics at the “Regina Maria” National College of Arts in Constanța. A founding member of the groups “PULS 1000” and “Aproximativ 28,” she is also affiliated with “Art is not dead” and the Romanian Union of Fine Artists (U.A.P.), Multimedia section. Her work has been exhibited internationally (San Francisco, Vienna) and in Romania, including at the Brâncovenesc Palaces, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Mobius Gallery, and H’art Gallery. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions, conferences, and biennials.
