I’ve been going to the same dentist for years. She’s the one who finally said it. Plastic bouquets belong in the same category as untreated front teeth.
Her words, not mine.
So I brought her reception a Standing Bouquet instead. Silver branches, flowers in saturated color, built to hold their own against a space that’s glossy and full of contemporary art.
That’s the decision a client never has to make themselves. I make it before the piece walks in, so the reaction is immediate instead of negotiated.
When the flowers died, the plastic didn’t go back. It went in the trash.
I’m due for a cleaning in August. Another one’s coming with me.
