Some designs solve a problem so quietly you almost miss the idea behind them. Flow began as a study in continuity — a single steel rod bent into a seat, a backrest, and a handle, with nothing added and nothing extra to explain. The collaboration between Defne Koz and Marco Susani pushed toward that kind of restraint: a stool that could be picked up and moved as naturally as a chair is pulled from a table, without a separate grip bolted on as an afterthought.
That handle, formed by the same rod that shapes the backrest, is the quiet detail that makes Flow more than a pretty silhouette. It turns a static object into something people actually rearrange through the day — pulled to a counter, pushed back against a wall, carried out to a terrace. The stool comes in three heights, letting the same fluid language sit at a kitchen island, a high work table, or a lounge corner.
What keeps Flow relevant years on isn’t novelty — it’s how little it insists on. A sinuous line, a practical hook, three heights, one family that has since grown to include an armchair, a chair, and even a trolley.
