A little piece of PotteryJo on the French Riviera. 🍋

Last week, we gathered a wonderful group of people for an intimate aperitivo overlooking the Mediterranean.

An evening filled with beautiful conversations, new connections, delicious food and, of course, a table dressed in PotteryJo.

For us, this is what it’s all about. Creating pieces that become part of life’s beautiful moments. Bringing people together, making room for conversations and celebrating the simple pleasure of gathering around a table.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our wonderful hosts Martina & Paul for making this evening possible.

PotteryJo is going south. 🇫🇷

I keep coming back to the French Riviera.

Maybe it’s the colours. The markets overflowing with tomatoes, artichokes and flowers. The light. Long lunches that turn into afternoons. The sea. And that wonderful way life seems to move just a little slower here.

Next week I’m returning – this time with PotteryJo.

We are gathering a small group of women at the home of dear friends above Nice, around a table filled with ceramics, food, flowers and w**e.

A little glimpse of PotteryJo in the South of France.

And somehow, it feels like exactly where we should be.

PotteryJo has always been about more than the objects on the table.

It is about what happens around it.

The hands that created it
When I started PotteryJo, I wanted to create objects with colour, personality and a sense of permanence. Pieces to live with, to mix in your own way, and hopefully keep for many years.

But what continues to inspire me most is the gathering itself.

The small rituals around a table. An ordinary breakfast. A long dinner. A conversation that lasts much longer than planned.

Because in the end, it is not really about the tableware.

It is about creating a place for people to come together.

PotteryJo is rooted in a belief in craft, community and beautiful things made to last.

We believe in the beauty of the everyday. In objects made by human hands, in colour and character, and in pieces that slowly become part of a home and a life.

From the first lines drawn on paper in Sweden to the skilled hands shaping clay in Portugal, every piece carries a little of the people and places behind it.

But perhaps most of all, PotteryJo is about gathering.

Long dinners and everyday breakfasts. Flowers picked from the garden. Tables set without too many rules. Old pieces mixed with new ones. The rituals, conversations and small moments that turn a table into a place of belonging.

We make objects to live with, to use often, to keep for a long time — and to make your own.

Today is a very special day in Sweden — Surströmming Premiere! 🇸🇪

Growing up in the north of Sweden, in Norrbotten, this was always a celebration. A table filled with family and friends, potatoes, onions, flatbread, cold drinks — and of course, surströmming.

And yes… even the smell means celebration to me. 🤍

So it made me extra happy to see PotteryJo on Swedish morning television Nyhetsmorgon today, celebrating this very Swedish tradition.

Our Tulipa plate was given the important job of serving the surströmming — with a little appearance from PEEP too.

For me, this is exactly what PotteryJo is about.
Beautiful tables, traditions, food, memories — and gathering the people we love around them.
