My heritage, from the Swedish region of Dalarna, where some of our greatest national Artists, like Karin and Carl Larsson lived and worked, amongst farmers and craftsmen and my relatives, is an important part of why I design things the way I do. It’s just in my soul, and by being brought up with a close relationship to this nature, its colours, materials, traditions.

When I was given the opportunity to photograp my at one of the most beautiful houses at open air museum in , together with brilliant photographer and friend Fabian Björnstjerna, it was a truly jouful experience.

A building and a home, from early 1900-century, with the most beautiful hand painted walls. I realised that my design heritage is a bridge from then to now, and that the prints and colours works just as well in traditional settings as well as in contemporary ones. It’s all up to you and your interpretation of my work, how you mix it with objects from your own story.
