i fear knitting have taken over more than originally planned…

there’s literally no need - i have made plenty of them!! and if there’s a certain style i want, i’ll rather just knit it?

if there’s a train delay - i get more knitting time! if i need to wait while the kids do some activity - i’ll just knit!

if i’m sitting, i’m knitting!! just watching something is kinda boring…

i mean, knitting is just a lot more fun??

the beyond basic sweatshirt is my knitted take on the classic sweatshirt — because apparently i can’t look at a garment without wondering how i could recreate all those little details in knit. and, of course, put my own spin on it.

the design really starts at the neckline. it’s worked in two separate sections to create that classic sweatshirt look, complete with the little x-detail at the front. i echoed the same idea at the hem and cuffs, tying the whole design together.

and then there’s the horizontal back yoke — one of those details i keep coming back to because i just LOVE what it adds to an otherwise simple silhouette.

but now i can’t stop thinking about a new version… 👀 a more traditional raglan construction. maybe even a HOOD?!

after 2 months of summer break i’m so ready for a quite moment of knitting 🧘🏽‍♀️ ANYONE ELSE??

sooo i kinda took the whole summer off! 😬 surely a bad business decision, but good for mind, body, soul and family life.

both me, my partner and our three kids have had 8 weeks off together!!! it’s been a bliss and so much fun, but all things come to an end, and now it’s finally time to somewhat go back to ”normal” - whatever that is haha. the little one will be starting pre-school in a few weeks, so i’ll be able to work undisturbed with my thoughts and hands, which i very much long for.

as for now i’ll try to re-vive this sleeping instagram account, so PLEASE leave a comment and say hi to let the algorithm know that we’re back baby!!! 💕💕💕

there’s something about a chilly summer evening that makes a big cozy sweater feel absolutely perfect and crossroads sweater has quickly become my favorite “throw it on and stay outside a little longer” knit!

and i just can’t get enough of the details on this one… the i-cord lines twisting into the side seams, the split hems, the chunky neck - i mean it’s subtle but so, so good ✨
