A small piece we think is lovely for Swedish summer.

HITOMAKI is a very light scarf from Kontex, made with cotton and merino wool. It is thin, soft and airy — the kind of scarf you can keep in your bag and almost forget it is there.

On days when the wind suddenly feels cool, or when the evening becomes a little colder, it is nice to have something soft around the neck. It also gives a gentle cover from the sun, without feeling heavy.

Although it contains wool, it is not a winter scarf. The merino wool gives a soft comfort and helps the fabric feel pleasant through changing weather.

Available in Sand Beige and Silver Grey.

In Japan, kisslock wallets are known as gamaguchi — named after the unique way the clasp opens. They’ve stayed popular for generations simply because they are genuinely useful for everyday life.

What makes this particular version so thoughtful is its double kisslock design. With one compartment nested inside another, you can easily separate your coins, cards, and cash without adding any bulk.

Plus, it features two outer slip pockets — perfect for grabbing your transport card or receipts on the go.

Crafted in Japan from soft cowhide leather, it feels beautifully simple, practical, and strangely satisfying every time you hear that classic click.

A traditional design that fits perfectly into modern life.

It’s often the smallest tools that impress me the most.

This traditional bamboo shichimi dispenser looks simple, but the design is incredibly thoughtful.

You refill from the top and dispense from the bottom, so the older spices get used first, and your shichimi stays fresher for longer.

Such a small detail, but it makes so much sense.

The kind of everyday Japanese design I really appreciate, practical, well considered, and made to be used again and again.

Perfect beside ramen, udon, grilled dishes… or anywhere you like a little extra heat.

If you’ve ever sat in a Japanese ramen shop, you’ve seen this pitcher. It’s an icon of “shokudo” dining, the Benkei pitcher.

Crafted in Tsubame-Sanjo, a region famous for lasting quality, it represents “Long Life Design” at its best. It is honest, functional, and completely unpretentious.

It’s Light to handle, yet sturdy enough for a lifetime of daily use.
The spout has a non-drip design and the sliding lid seals neatly on a body that stays clear and beautiful.
It just doesn’t shout for attention; but works flawlessly every time. Match perfectly with Toyo Sasaki HS glasses!

Whether for iced tea or cold brew, it’s a piece of Japanese culture that makes perfect sense at home.

Some things don’t need much styling — they just quietly become part of you.

These Akoya pearls from Uwajima have a soft lustre that catches the light in a gentle way, paired with hand-carved cherry blossom wood beads from Ishikawa that bring a natural warmth and texture.

At 45cm, it sits close to the collarbone — easy with a simple shirt, knit, or summer dress.

I like jewellery like this. Not too much, not trying too hard. Just something you can wear for years and not grow tired of.

A small piece of Japanese craftsmanship, made to be lived with.

The 40-year wait.

Originally designed in 1960 for Tendo Mokko, this stool remained a blueprint for over four decades. Not because the design was flawed, but because it was simply ahead of its time ; too complex for the machinery of the 60s to handle.

Today, it exists as a masterpiece of balance. Three identical pieces of moulded plywood, twisted into a form that feels more like a sculpture than a seat.

Whether in the warm grain of natural wood or our shop’s exclusive special edition red, it’s a piece of ”long-life design“ that doesn‘t need to shout to be noticed.
