When composing TOMATO THIEF, I knew exactly what I wanted; the feeling of stepping into a greenhouse - the wild, unruly kind.

Tomato vines, with that distinct green scent that stays on your fingers after plucking the fruit. The damp, warm soil, the rhubarb, the basil. And to top it off - cannabis. Those deep, dark, green notes with a slight grapefruity tang to them.

The energy in all of it, that’s what I was aiming for.

Scent Notes #1 - AMALFI

Sunlight dancing on the sea and warm earth beneath your feet. The scent of wild herbs drifting in from the roadside. Jasmine and orange blossom and salt in your hair.

Smells like: Driving along the Mediterranean coast with the windows down. It’s citrus — but a deeper, fuller version than what you might expect.

Notes from Erika:

When composing AMALFI, I wanted to capture the sense of a place. Citrus forward, warm and sunny - but with the full depth underneath. All the nuances and layers, not just the surface.

The warm sunlight touching your face, the salt in your hair, the smell of wild sunlit herbs dancing in the wind when driving with the windows rolled down. The citrus groves and the warm dirt. The soft, slightly sweet florals. The almond ice cream (obviously).

I wanted the whole atmosphere in a single composition.

Arte is evolving into a dedicated scent studio where fragrance takes center stage. The new studio, located at Norra Vallgatan 2, will house workshops, select events, our usual hands-on production — and a secret project.
