This is not a serious business, but it is where I will take commissions and post some works for sale.

I hate having my picture taken, so I'm considering crocheting a life-size head/bust to model hats and scarves I make. This would take me several weeks, if not months to finish. Worth it?

Now giving this beret away for free. I have a fair bit of experience wearing/carrying handmade items at this point, and I can tell you this is the kind of piece that attracts a lot of compliments; so if you like the idea of being told, "I LOVE your hat!" a lot, send me a message or comment to get this beret!

Well, I was going to post my first work for open sale here tomorrow, but it got bought before it was even completely finished. 😅 The designer requires a specific phrasing for credit, so here it is: "This item was handmade by Ryli Middendorff from a design and pattern by Crafty Intentions."

I'm afraid I won't be able to take any more commission projects for a little while.

Having several of them built up means that, even if I rotate projects so I don't get burnt out on any one thing, all the WIPs in rotation are commissions. It leaves no room for me to work on the other projects I get random cravings for, and that basically means crochet becomes a point of stress instead of an outlet for it.

If you've already made an order, I will continue to work on those and try to have them finished in a timely fashion. If you were considering making an order, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to wait until my project queue has shrunk enough so that I'm only working on one commission at a time. I'll be sure to make a post when I reach that point.

Thank you for your understanding, everyone, and sorry if this causes any disappointment.

So many things I want to crochet... Hats, scarves, stuffed animals, blankets, bags, slippers, wall hangings, shirts, dresses, giant robot models, random polygons... No wonder I have so much trouble finishing anything. There's always the next new exciting thing in line to distract me.

What do you guys want to see me make?
