The peace. The constancy. The one you come home to when you need to breathe again. Your humble abode.

A+I came to me with one clear brief. She didn’t want her sofa against any wall. That one decision set the tone for everything. A floating layout that lets the space breathe, feel intentional, and most importantly, feel like home.

A few things I did differently to make this 3-room apartment feel spacious. First, tucking the dining area by the window frees up the central space and lets natural light anchor the room. Then hunting for the right large format vinyl that suits the overall concept. Found the perfect one from . No harsh lighting either. A strategic ambient cove lighting to illuminate the whole space, paired with floor to ceiling curtains to frame and finish the living area beautifully.

We also hacked off the original cabinet and built a huge, undivided mirror cabinet in its place. Not just for the perfect OOTD spot (though yes, that too) but because a well placed mirror bounces beautiful light deep into the space. That’s exactly how this low floor apartment feels so bright and full of life.

And a big shoutout to A+I for trusting the process and following the furniture pieces we proposed in the initial 3D. A curated furniture selection goes a long way in preventing visual clutter and keeping the floor space clean and open.

Everything just felt so ethereal, fr.

Ugh excited to post housee!!!!! For R + M’s squarish living layout, I wanted to create an ambience that feels like a hug the moment you step in. 🫂

Since the homeowners love hosting and enjoy a good games night with friends, I knewww the dining area had to become the heart of the home. We went with an 8–10 seater dining setup minimum, and from there came the idea of this “runner” detail across the ceiling that gently hugs the dining zone. Almost like framing the energy of the space and anchoring where everyone naturally gathers.

That runner detail eventually became the command centre of every other design decision in the home. From the warm earthy tones, the olive green sofa, the walnut touches, the TV console, even down to the sage kitchen palette… everything followed suit so the space feels cohesive without trying too hard.

Even the mismatched pendant lights above the dining table were intentionally chosen. I loved how each piece carries its own personality, but when grouped together they still feel harmonious. It adds this playful collected-over-time feeling to the space instead of making the home feel overly matchy or staged.

I also wanted the home to feel soft visually despite the larger open layout, so we balanced the warm wood tones with creamy whites, sheer curtains and rounded silhouettes throughout the space. The full-height windows bring in so much natural light during the day, while the layered warm lighting transforms the space into something extra cosy at night.

One of my favourite things about this home is how multifunctional the layout feels. A dining space for hosting, a living area for winding down, shelves filled with board games and memories, and little corners that feel lived in instead of overly styled. It feels social, comforting and very “come in, stay awhile” energy 🫶

The reveal!

Behind that double leaf door? We carved out a dedicated space for the washer and dryer — though it meant trimming the master bedroom entrance just a little.
Worth every inch. It was dead space before.

A perfect corner too, with the water inlets and outlets right within reach. Swipe to see the floor plans!

We had to make this toilet compact because we carved out space to hide something exciting just beside it. A little secret I’ll be sharing in the next post. 👀

But when life gives you a compact toilet, you make it a powder room moment.

Powder rooms have always been THAT💅 girl. Small, impactful, unforgettable. And with the shower tucked neatly into the corner, this space had all the right bones.

The moment I laid eyes on these floral tiles it was an aaaah moment. Instant yes. No second-guessing. It felt so right for the overall theme of this home, and even more so because this bathroom will be used most by their lovely daughters. Imagine waking up to this every single morning. What a way to start the day.

We customed the sink to keep full control of the dimensions because when the aesthetic is this specific, you don’t leave it to chance. And since it was a built wall, we designed a custom mirror cabinet with back-lit LED. Just enough glow to make the space feel warm and special without overwhelming it.

Over at the shower corner, we added a soap niche too. Small detail, big difference. Everything has its place.
Every decision in here was deliberate. Every detail, earned.

So much more to share about this space but that’s a story for the next post.

Stay tuned pls!! 😍🤍

PS: special2 shout out to our builder, Idris for entertaining this idea it is ALOT of work and coordination for just a toilet. Too much hours just on this toilet but you da bezt on 🔝☝️

You know that feeling when you open the hotel room door for the first time? I feel like that’s what this hallway gives 😆

Warm wood. Clean white. A runner that anchors the whole thing. The hallway that makes you pause before you walk through.

This corridor does more than connect rooms. It sets the tone. 🤍

Small but mighty. This kitchen proves you don’t need a lot of space to have a lot of function.

In apartment living, the kitchen is often bounded by four walls and that’s all you get. So every decision has to work harder. We parked the fridge at the corner to free up the central space. Moved the washer and dryer out of the service yard entirely so we could breathe new life into it. And carved out a full height storage unit that quietly doubles as a concealment for the household shelter.

The moveable island was a must. On heavy cooking days it pulls its weight as extra counter space. On quieter days it sits pretty.

The colour palette does a lot of work here too. Sage green cabinetry keeps things soft and grounded. And those deep green subway tiles? They weren’t just decorative. There was a pillar sitting in an awkward spot and tiling over it floor to ceiling was the most elegant way to make it disappear into the design rather than fight against it.

Small space. Big intention. 🥰
