Satin wood was one of the most beautiful and highly valued exotic hardwood furniture of the late 18th century.

No hardwood carried quite the same history as ebony.

Native to southern India and Sri Lanka, it was so prized that lesser woods were painted black simply to imitate it.

That tells you everything about the status this timber held.

There’s a quiet luxury in furniture built to last. Our new mahogany four poster bed arrived a couple weeks ago, and being part of its assembly only deepened our appreciation for its craftsmanship. It was built with longevity in mind.
