Here’s why these 5 matter most:

1.Tiling & Waterproofing: A tiny leak behind your bathroom tiles can ruin your built-ins and flood your neighbor’s ceiling down the road. Rectifying water damage means hacking up entire tiles-do it right the first time.
2.Space Planning > Custom Carpentry: Carpentry looks gorgeous, but great space planning dictates how your home actually functions every single day. Prioritize flow, natural light, and smart layout first-you can always add extra cabinets later.
3.Professional Electrical Work: Hiding wires, sizing your DB box, and getting your load calculations right isn’t just about convenience-it’s a critical safety issue. Hacking walls to fix faulty wiring post-move-in is a total nightmare.

Located in the new neighbourhood of Sembawang, this home was designed as the first home for a young couple — a space that feels warm, welcoming and distinctly theirs.

From the very beginning, our client had a clear vision. She knew she wanted a Mid-Century Modern interior, had specific design elements she wanted to incorporate, and even had a few styling pieces that were non-negotiable. She had the vision; our role was to piece the puzzle together and turn those ideas into a cohesive, functional home.

One of the main priorities was to make the home feel spacious and inviting from the moment you step through the door. Instead of treating the foyer, kitchen, dining and living areas as separate spaces, we designed them together as one continuous space, allowing the materials, proportions and visual lines to flow naturally throughout the home.

The couple also wanted a dedicated work room, so we introduced a glass-partitioned room that could adapt with them over time. Inside, a custom bay-window nook creates a quiet spot to sit and recharge after a long day. And as their needs change, the room can easily be reconfigured — even becoming a nursing or baby room in the future.

The master suite brings together practical storage, thoughtful details and a warm, spa-like bathroom — creating a comfortable retreat designed around the couple and how they want to live.

Choosing tiles for your Singapore home isn’t as simple as picking the colour you like most.
Ceramic, porcelain and homogeneous tiles all have different characteristics, and the right choice depends on where the tile is being used, how the space will be maintained, your budget and the overall design direction.

Then there’s tile size. A large-format tile can give you that clean, seamless look with fewer grout lines.
But in wet areas like bathrooms, we also need to think about floor falls and drainage. Smaller tiles can give us more flexibility when forming the required gradient towards the floor trap.

This is why we don’t select tiles based on aesthetics alone.
The tile needs to look good, perform well and make sense for the space.
