{ Mediterranean-inspired – 2-Room Flexi Home – Part 4 }

Even though our Client doesn’t cook a lot, the Kitchen needs to serve her well.
+
We created a galley style Kitchen that also serves as her Laundry Room yet still keeping it breathable visually by not giving her unnecessary upper cabinets but instead just a display shelf and ample countertop area for her laundry needs.
+
We carried the blue and white colour scheme into the Kitchen and made sure aesthetics is not compromised for an area that’s meant to be more utilitarian.
+

{ Mediterranean-inspired – 2-Room Flexi HDB Home – Part 3 }

How to make a little bathroom ooze Mediterranean flavour without dumping in a truckload of Italian and Greek herbs?

That was the challenge we faced when we proceeded to design the bathroom after being satisfied with how the rest of the space looked.
+
We wanted to carry the light blue colour theme into the bathroom and what better way to achieve that than through the use of tiles – wall tiles to be exact.
+
And how can we leave out the opportunity to go Mediterranean with our favourite broken stone tiles for floor?
+
We wanted to introduce breeze blocks into the aesthetics, but didn’t want to overdo it and cause more maintenance issues for our cute Client. So we did it subtly.
+
The result was a bathroom that’s succinctly Medi and adorable in its own way.
+
And yes, we made it a point to incorporate a shower bench for the senior. Her eyes lit up when we proposed it to her.
+
To bring clients to a place they would otherwise not have explored alone. That’s our goal for homeowners. Trust us to take you there.

{ Mediterranean-inspired – 2-Room Flexi Home – Part 1 }

This is a special project for Wolf Woof because it is the first time we are
i) designing a 2-Room Flexi Home
ii) designing for a 72 year old senior (a super cute one mind you)

When our Client first approached us, we were rather surprised because it’s rare for seniors to engage us for the design of her home. And more surprised when we were told of her preferred design style – MEDITERRANEAN.
+
Then came the headache – HOW TO BE MEDITERRANEAN WHEN THE HOME IS SPACE LIMITED?
+
But of course, we gamely accepted the challenge. And to our further surprise (yes, lots of surprises lol), our Client LOVED our proposal even though the look is radically different from her existing home.
+
We had to incorporate a work desk into her main Living space for her Work From Home needs. And we had to do it cleverly so that it could sensibly integrate with the rest of the Mediterranean vibe. Swipe to see how Wolf Woof managed to pull it off.

And how we designed hidden storage for her in the form of a dining banquette.
+
The result? A home that is as adorable as our Client. Watch this space for the sweet little bedroom that we designed for her.

I love the beauty that Italy has to offer. As a designer, I need to constantly surround myself with inspiration. And I did, in Italy.

Again, sharing the random moments and interesting architecture that I’ve come across. Nope, you will not find very touristy shots here like the Leaning Tower of Pisa or anything from the Vatican. Just unplanned scenes that took my breath away.

{ Lofty Aspirations – Three Bedroom Condo Home – Part 5 }

From a design perspective, bedrooms are best left as bedrooms to design because they are meant to be the sanctuary that you retreat into after a long day’s work. They should be kept simple and cosy. The palette is kept consistent with the entire home’s colour scheme for design synergy. Storage is maximised while keeping the look streamlined. I imagine waking up to a nice unblocked view and have cute birds chirping. They can chirp outside as long as they don’t fly in and terrorise our Clients.

So what’s up there in the loft?

For this lovely home, the loft is where our Client works in serenity when his job requires him to.
+
We love how this work space is a fusion of old and the new – breeze block looking feature wall that’s somewhat old school yet not old school. We love the curved work desk that follows the curvature of the loft as well as all the life that our Clients brought to this space through nice greenery.
+
At Wolf Woof, we believe in crafting homes that speak of you both as an individual and as a family unit. Yes, we are not a fan of churning out homes that look like everyone else’s. That’s our promise to you.

What do you do when you need the openness in a space yet able to keep it contained when needed?
+
That was one of our challenges when designing the space. We created a set of folding windows and sliding door to separate the Kitchen from the Living Room to keep the grease out (see third frame for how the space opens up)
+
We love this tiny Kitchen because it is streamlined yet efficient… one that will serve our Clients well into their retirement.
+
