Designing personality into every corner.

Join Rudy as he walks through Aura Design's latest project: a home that reflects the distinct character of the couple who live in it.

From the adaptable dining area that tucks away on quiet days and opens effortlessly for gathered ones, to the warm timber and layered accents that carry a quiet confidence through every room, every detail tells the same story.

Step into the bedroom, where seamless storage dissolves into the walls, preserving a sense of calm and openness around the space. The living areas follow the same instinct. Generous, uncluttered, and designed with room to breathe.

This is a home where functionality and warmth simply belong together. A timeless expression of Bauhaus living, shaped around the people it was made for.

The corner that gets the details right.

A metal frame console sits beneath a large screen, layered with small objects that tell you exactly who lives here. The orb wall sconce glows warm against the curtain, and the rice paper pendant above ties the whole corner together softly. Maximalist but never messy, every piece on that surface has a place.

For the homeowners, even the TV wall was a chance to put more of themselves into the room.

The room that started with a rug.

The graphic rug takes up the floor and sets the tone for everything around it, bold, colourful, and completely unafraid. A mustard yellow sofa, an orange lounge chair, shelves packed with things that matter, and somewhere in the middle of it all, a homeowner on the floor with her cat. Natural light pours through sheer curtains and the room holds it all comfortably.

Nothing here was chosen to impress. It was chosen because it felt right.

Colour as a way of living.

A mustard yellow sofa sits low and generous, the kind you sink into and don't leave. The graphic rug anchors the whole room in bold black and white with bursts of colour, and the plushies on the sofa backrest make it clear this is a space for living, not just looking.

Sheer curtains let the light in softly while the deep curtains frame the window with just enough drama.

Every piece in this room was picked because it meant something. The room just happens to look good because of it.

Personality, by design.

The orange accent runs from the wall all the way up and across the ceiling, framing the arched niche like a piece of architecture in its own right.

A lit arch holds the Lego Great Wave, flanked by a row of tiny collectibles, while red shelves, warm pendant lights, and an orange sofa chair all pull the room together without ever feeling like they were planned to match.

This is a living room that grew from the inside out, built around the things the homeowners love, with an ID who knew exactly how to give it all a home.

Every shelf has a story.

The orange accent wall anchors the living room with a lit arched niche that frames a Lego art piece of The Great Wave, surrounded by a row of tiny potted plants. Red shelves climb the wall on both sides, packed with collectibles, books, figurines, and things that clearly mean something. A acrylic lamp glows warm against the orange wall, and no two objects feel like they were bought to match.

For the homeowners, the ID's job was simply to give all of this personality a home. The architecture holds the colour, the structure holds the collections, and everything else is entirely theirs.

You know exactly how you want your home to feel.

You've scrolled through hundreds of references. Saved the ones that made you stop and stare. Shown them to your ID and said: "I want something like this". But here's what nobody tells you...

The homes in those photos? The ones that feel warm, expensive, like they belong in a magazine, the secret isn't the furniture. It isn't the tiles. It isn't even the carpentry.

It's the lighting.

And most homeowners only figure this out after the renovation is done. The false ceiling is sealed. The wires are buried. The lights are on, and something just feels wrong. Too bright. Too flat. Too clinical. Nothing like the references they saved.

That feeling doesn't go away. You live with it every single day.

And fixing it? That's a full hack job. More money. More mess. More weeks of living in a construction site. All because one decision wasn't made early enough.

The homes that actually look like the references, the ones that feel right the moment you walk in, didn't happen by luck. The lighting was planned from day one. Before the false ceiling. Before the carpentry. Before anything was built around it.

That's how we approach every home at Aura Design & Co.

Because a home that looks good in photos is one thing. A home that feels exactly the way you imagined, every single day, that's what we're here to build.

Your dream home is closer than you think.

Reach out to us and let's get it right from the start!

A room designed with every occupant in mind. Even the cats.

The deep olive green niche anchors the wall with intention, a deliberate design choice that gives the space its own identity within the home. Foam mat flooring keeps things soft underfoot, and the room is set up to be fully functional for its residents, comfortable, practical, and considered.

For the homeowners, no room was treated as an afterthought. Even the cat room received the same thoughtfulness as the rest of the home, because good design accounts for everyone who lives there.

A kitchen built for someone who actually uses it.

Sage green cabinetry runs floor to ceiling, handleless and clean, giving a frequent baker all the storage she needs without the visual clutter. Under cabinet lighting traces the marble backsplash in warm amber, and the countertop stretches generously across the whole run, enough room to actually work.

On the other side, open shelves lit from below give her a place to keep favourite pieces close, the kind of kitchen that feels personal before you even start cooking.

And then there's the fridge, covered in photos and drawings, the most lived in corner of the whole kitchen. A good kitchen holds the mess of a real life, and this one does it beautifully.

You know exactly how you want your home to feel.

You've thought about it, saved for it, planned every detail in your head.

But here's what most people don't find out until it's too late.

Most carpentry only looks good for the first year or two. Then the gaps appear. The drawers start sticking. The finish starts wearing. And the home you worked so hard for starts feeling like it's falling short of what you imagined.

And the worst part?

Fixing it isn't cheap.

Replacing carpentry that has already failed costs more than getting it right the first time, and nobody wants to go through the whole renovation process again. The dust, the waiting, the disruption to your family's life. All because the wrong materials were used from the start.

The homes that still look beautiful five years in didn't happen by luck. Every material was chosen with purpose. Every detail was built to hold up to real life.

That's the standard we hold ourselves to at Aura Design & Co. because you deserve a home that lives up to everything you dreamed it would be, without ever having to rebuild it.

Your dream home is closer than you think.

The door was never part of the plan.

But the ID saw what the homeowner couldn't yet. Twin arched fluted glass panels now close off the service yard from neighbouring sightlines while still letting light filter through, turning a purely practical decision into one of the most striking details in the kitchen.

Up close the ribbed texture catches the light beautifully, architectural and considered in a corner that most people would never think twice about.

For a homeowner who bakes regularly, every part of this kitchen had to work hard and look good doing it.
