A heartfelt thank you to all our media friends who joined our Palette Japan Media Session at Isetan Scotts on 2 October.

It was wonderful to have Ms. Tomoko Ota, Founder of Palette Japan, meet everyone and share her passion for Japanese craft and culture.

Our guests also received an exclusive Japanese Tatami Béri Handle, made from the edges of tatami mats. Everyone got hands-on and created their own Tsumami Zaiku flower hairclip/brooch using Tomoko’s patented DIY kit, personally invented by her. 🌸✨

Thank you for supporting our journey in women empowerment as we equip women with not only Tsumami Zaiku skills, but also the confidence to market, brand, sell and build their own creative businesses.

A sincere thank you to MS News for joining us at our media session at Isetan Scotts on 2 October and for featuring Palette Japan and our Japanese craft and cultural journey in Singapore. We’re grateful that the feature captured more than just our pop-up, but also our purpose of making traditional Japanese craftsmanship more accessible through hands-on experiences, learning and meaningful connections.

It was especially wonderful to see the media experience Tomoko Ota’s patented Tsumami Zaiku DIY kit and create their own flower hair clip/brooch, while discovering the story behind our use of upcycled Chusen-dyed yukata fabric and the Japanese spirit of Mottainai. She has loved seeing the beautiful craft showcase by our talented Palette Japan trainers and sharing the art of Tsumami Zaiku through workshops with the media and public.

Most of all, she is excited to meet new people, connect with craft lovers, and share her passion for Japanese craft and culture. 💕🌸

Missed her this weekend? Tomoko will still be at Isetan Scotts tomorrow, Monday, from 3pm to 8pm. Come by, say hello, and have a chat with her about Japanese craft and Tsumami Zaiku! Right now, she is busy with the Tsumami Zaiku Intermediate Level exams being held at our studio after conducting Mizuhiki workshop in the morning.
