[ A Dark Japandi Residence by the Sea ]
Not every home needs to follow the usual layout.
For this project, the homeowners came to us because they wanted something different. A living space that wasn’t simply arranged in the conventional way, but thoughtfully planned around how they wanted to experience their home.
The dining area sits right by the window, making the sea view part of everyday living, while the extended kitchen creates more working space without sacrificing a fully functional service yard.
Throughout the home, we went with a Dark Japandi direction, using deeper timber tones, muted finishes and clean, understated forms.
And most importantly, the entire home features EGGER Modular Carpentry.
From the living spaces to the master bedroom, EGGER finishes bring consistency across the home while giving us the flexibility to create details that feel truly bespoke.
In the master bedroom, the headboard wall was designed as part of the overall carpentry composition, leading into a walk-in wardrobe with a mix of open and closed storage, complete with a fully integrated dresser.
For us, good design is about more than making a home look good.
It’s about challenging the usual layout, making better use of the space, and designing around the way you live.
