A home that doesn’t follow the usual layout; and that’s exactly the point.

The living, dining and study all have their own space, not what you would be expecting; but each at the right place.
Designed around how the homeowners actually use their home.

Step into this Balinese-inspired EA home in Yishun.
This home belongs to a pair of siblings who decided to live together as they move closer to retirement.
They chose to work with us because Alson’s design came closest to what they had in mind — their own personal spaces to retreat to, but also a large communal area for all the family gatherings they love hosting.
And there was one more thing that mattered a lot to them: keeping the furniture they had inherited and collected over the years.
Instead of designing everything from scratch, we planned the new home around these pieces — making space for the memories they already had, while creating a home for the next chapter of their lives.

We used glass doors to separate the dry and wet kitchen during cooking, without making the space feel boxed in. And just beside it, the sink was moved outside the bathroom - making use of the space between the store and bathroom to free up more room inside.

Small layout changes, but they make everyday movement and use feel so much easier.

Warm, moody and made for slow evenings at home. 🍸

Since the homeowner loves having a drink and hosting, we placed the built-in bar right beside the dining area, so it naturally becomes part of the gathering space.

And by the window, a mini bar table creates a quieter little corner for coffee, cocktails or just winding down at the end of the day.

A home that feels relaxed, intimate and easy to enjoy.

Opening up the living, dining and kitchen changed the way this home flows. 🤍

By opening up the living, dining and kitchen - each space feels more connected, making it easier to move around, gather together and enjoy the home as one continuous space.

More open, more effortless, and made for everyday living.

A home should still feel like yours after renovation.

For these homeowners, one of the reasons they chose us was simple - they felt heard.

Our ID worked around the furniture they had inherited and collected over the years, designing the new home to make space for the pieces that already carried meaning and memories.

Because good design isn’t always about starting from scratch. Sometimes, it’s about making space for what already matters.

Together, but still with a space to call their own. 🤍

As these two siblings approach retirement, they wanted to live under one roof, without giving up the privacy and independence they’ve grown used to.

So we reworked their EA (executive apartment) into two private master suites, each with its own walk-in wardrobe and bathroom - while keeping the communal spaces open for the family and friends they still love to host.

A home designed for togetherness, alone time, and the next chapter of life. 🏡

If you love to host, consider adding a custom settee alongside your sofa. Extra seating for guests, a natural frame for your space, and hidden storage underneath; it does more than you’d expect.

The dark timber finish ties seamlessly into the home’s Balinese theme, complementing the homeowner’s personal collection of ornate accents and sculptural pieces. From the carved green sideboard to the art pieces that wouldn’t look out of place in a boutique resort, every corner of this home tells a story.

Started as a solution to cover a pipe in the middle of the living room, but it ended up becoming one of the home’s most defining features - sitting at just the right point to anchor the living area while keeping both ends of the space accessible.

This is what happens when a challenge becomes a design opportunity, and a homeowner’s love for Balinese aesthetics meets purposeful design. 🖤

A little room with a personality of its own.

While the rest of the home keeps to a Soft Creamy Japandi palette, her room brings in soft pink walls for a warmer, more playful touch. A built-in study table, open shelving and full-height wardrobe make use of every corner; while giving her plenty of space to study, display her favourites and keep things organised.

A space that still feels connected to home, but uniquely hers. 🤍
