We were pleased to be part of The Boutique Assembly TBA Bangkok 2026, , a gathering centred on the people shaping boutique and independent hospitality: owners, investors, developers, operators, designers and industry leaders coming together for bold conversations, fresh thinking and genuine connection.

For us, the value was in the conversation: exchanging perspectives, discovering new ideas and thinking about where hospitality is heading next.

Craft Over Mass. Behind the Materiality.

Last week, we visited Kongsiri Tannery in Samut Prakan for a closer look at the journey of leather, from the hide's origin to the tanning process and the finishes that give each skin its character.

Exploring wet-salted and wet-blue hides alongside aniline, semi-aniline, pigmented and oil/wax finishes, the workshop offered a hands-on understanding of how process, treatment and craftsmanship shape the material we see and feel.

A reminder that every finished surface begins with a process worth understanding.

He sells seashells in the Seychelles on the seashore. 🐚🌴🌊✨
Our latest study trip takes us to the Seychelles, where we're exploring a new territory for us through its landscapes, culture and way of life. Surveying the island beyond the site, from ancient granite coastlines and the biggest seed in the world to local craftsmanship, hospitality and everyday 'life's a beach' rituals. We're building an understanding of the destination before shaping a new way of thinking about barefoot luxury.
Before the first line is drawn, we observe. Because every remarkable place already knows its own story.

Nothing Is Ever Truly New. We simply learn to see it differently

From sculpted cement forms to artist-curated stone compositions, each material introduces its own rhythm, depth, and shadow. A tactile exploration of façade, pattern, and relief where geometry and texture work together to shape the atmosphere beyond the surface. Featuring curated finished and Kalinga stone compositions observed during the visit.

A time machine, hiding in plain sight.
While in Johor Bahru for a branding project, we swung by the museum and followed the blue thread. Histories overlap. Motifs travel. Meanings shift. One reference opens another, revealing connections that are not always obvious at first glance.
For us, provenance is a continuous investigation, an ongoing enquiry into origins, influences and the stories carried forward over time. Some are preserved. Some become mixed. Others are still being uncovered.
This is often where a concept begins. Rarely does the investigation end.

Revisiting one of our recent rooftop bar projects, we're reminded that some of the best hospitality experiences are designed around a moment in time. As daylight softens into dusk, warm light settles across the space, the rooftop opens to the skyline, and architecture becomes part of the evening itself.

Adrift in the flow.
One of our upcoming wellness destination projects explores how architecture can echo the quiet rhythm of water. Floating forms, layered light, and fluid transitions create spaces that unfold naturally, encouraging a slower pace, a sense of release, and effortless movement. Rather than defining each space as a destination, the design allows every experience to flow seamlessly into the next.
