How do you make an existing layout feel thoughtfully designed from room to room? Here, it comes down to smart planning and a consistent material palette, with terracotta, arches, microcement, custom carpentry and warm woods tying the whole home together.

Knock it down. Open it up. Make it work harder.

That was the thinking behind four renovation moves in this home: opening up the living areas, carving out a proper dining space, turning a full-length wall into a fully equipped study, and adding a sliding door between the dry and wet kitchens.

The best renovation decisions are the ones you keep appreciating long after the renovation is done.
